I’ve been coming here for over ten years, back then the mom used to cook. This place is delicious and reasonably priced. Veggie curries are $13. Line moves quicker these days, but it still often takes 10-20 minutes to get your food, particularly between 12-1. Going around 1:30 or 11:30 usually means quick service. I’ve literally eaten here over 100 times and never been disappointed. This is one of the places that makes downtown great.

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in downtown Denver, you need to check out Liang’s Thai Food on 16th Street in Weltman. It’s a small booth tucked into a grassy area with other food stands, and honestly, it’s one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried.
Here’s what makes it special: there’s literally one person running the entire operation. He cooks your food, serves it, and handles payment—all by himself. I showed up during the lunch rush, and I was amazed at how fast he worked. Orders kept coming in, but he knocked them out one after another without breaking a sweat.
I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and asked for them spicy. Let me tell you, they actually delivered on the spice. My nose was running, my eyes watered a little, but I couldn’t stop eating. The flavor was incredible. The vegetables tasted fresh and crisp, and you could tell he uses quality ingredients. Everything just tasted real and homemade.
The best part? It only cost $13. That’s a solid deal for the portion size and quality you get.
A couple things to know: they only take cash, so come prepared. But the setup is actually perfect for a nice day. There are little tables outside where you can sit and eat. I got lucky with beautiful weather, so I enjoyed my meal in the sunshine.
If you’re in downtown Denver and craving Thai food, skip the fancy restaurants and find Liang’s Thai Food. It’s simple, it’s authentic, and it’s delicious. You won’t regret it.

Was walking 16th and ran across this place. The owner could not be more welcoming and helpful. We talked shared stories. Even better was the food and portion size. One of the best Panang curry and Pad Thai dishes I have ever had. Even better was the price. Great little artificial grass eating area. Will be back and recommending to others

About a 5 minute walk from the hotel I was staying at and I have two words… damn good! Okay with that out of the way, I got the basil chicken and it was phenomenal. The rice was cooked well too!

Hands down the best foods I have ever had here in Denver so far! And one of the best Thai foods I have ever had in the USA.
The chef is so genuine, friendly, and honest!
The price is very fair for a big city – pretty much everything is $12.5. The food are warm, fresh, spicy, flavorful, fragrant, and yummy!!
Just remember to bring cash!
And it is a little stand so no sitting inside.
And if you say you want spicy, you will get “SPICY”, which makes your head sweat, nose running, and heart happy!
