Envisioning a modern, welcoming, casual hangout that blends great food, sports, amazing craft beer, & an unwavering commitment to quality. In 1982, Luong Hai Ky first opened its doors in Chinatown LA & later relocated to San Diego in 1986. With a rich history and a passion for authentic flavors, we take pride in serving the finest noodle soups, rice dishes, and other tasty Cantonese & Vietnamese cuisines. Our menu is a tribute to the OG family recipes that have been cherished and perfected over generations, now complemented by an authentic craft beer experience.

This place was exceptional. My husband and I went to San Diego for an event called San Diego swap meet and we were very tired. We didn’t know what to eat and on Google the first thing or option that popped on my phone with this and I am so glad that I was able to choose this place because the service was great from the start. We did come with our dog And they were so kind to give us a seat inside and they did have us closer to like the entrance in like a corner, but I was just so glad that we didn’t have to be outside in the dark and they were just really great all the food was so good like if I can go back and have their food I will like I won’t make that drive to San Diego because they were just so kind to my husband myself and our small terrier dog. I did not record what we had but here are the images you can ask because they were all insanely good insanely good. There were some wings there that I guess our mix or cooked with fish some type of fish oil or something like that when they bring the dish it does smell funny where you’re like wait, no I don’t think this is gonna be good but once you try it, you change your mind completely. It’s amazing. Will definitely come again. You guys are the greatest honestly.

Excellent kid friendly dining experience. We came in at 5 pm and the staff were helpful with finding us a large table to sit down and entertain our kid. They recommended the chicken fried rice which was really good. Chicken was tender and my kid ate it all up. Good selection of sour beers. I really liked the beer with sour skittles infused into it. Duck noodle soup and egg rolls were excellent. 10/10 experience 🙂

My family and I always come back to this place when we’re in San Diego. It’s our 3rd time here, the food portion can’t be beat given the price. It’s delicious too!
Food: The food is really good! It’s well seasoned and never too salty or too sweet. My family always ordered the egg spring roll. It’s our favorite!
– steamed fish fillet: my personal favorite, it’s soft and melts in your mouth and so well seasoned. 5/5, hella recommend!
– egg rolls: super yummy, crunchy and the sauce is sweet and evens out your taste bud! 5/5, recommend!
– beef chow fun: there’s large flat noodles hidden underneath the beef and vegetables. it’s really delicious because the beef isn’t tough, just the right amount of chewy! the noodles is sweet and salty! amazing! 5/5, recommend!
– chicken chow mein: the noodles were sooo good! i kept going back for this dish and it became my comfort dish. the chicken is chewy and divine! 100/10, get this!
– hainan chicken rice: i wish there was soup to go with the rice, the chicken wasn’t too well seasoned, not a favorite of ours. 4/5
Atmosphere & service: I love the atmosphere, its slightly cold temperature and warm setting inside. The service is great, they’re attentive and gives good recommendation when we first asked!
Parking: It’s in a shopping center so we never really struggled to find parking spots. There’s always plenty.
Overall, this place is a hidden gem. It should be busier and I hope more people discovers them! Their food and pricing is unbeatable!

Awesome family owned restaurant. Really nice owners & servers. I’m obsessed with the egg roles. They come with mint and lettuce to wrap around and it makes it taste super fresh. I also really like the gravy chow fun.
They also recently remodeled and it looks super stylish now, more insta-worthy, with a more young, fun vibe. They also have awesome fire heaters outside in their patio.
