Stop for a quick coffee find out the croissant look great and taste wonderfully. I’m really enjoy the Pastry and Bakery. I’ll come back and try their cake next time, I did a search they also had a couple more locations on the east side. I might just stop by and take a quick look and give it a try overall it is a quick place, quiet and not crowded.

This is one of the gem hidden in Mercer Island bakery is amazing and the surface is top notch and come here every weekend and also need to mention the deserve. It’s not sweet but tasty very cute. Benedict crunch sandwich is amazing as well. I will enjoy my time and cozy environment. More importantly, it is not crowded like the other good Bakery does keep it up

This French bakery is truly amazing! The place smells heavenly with the aroma of freshly baked bread, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Their croissants taste authentically.

Let’s talk about the croissants. These are, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever tasted. Flaky, golden layers with a buttery richness that melts in your mouth – they strike that perfect balance between crisp and tender. Whether you’re enjoying one plain, filled with chocolate, or accompanied by smoked salmon and avocado, it’s a heavenly experience.

The wait staff are just as delightful as the food – attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They add so much to the overall experience with their genuine hospitality and thoughtful service. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows in every interaction.

And the ambiance? Impeccable. Soft music, cozy lighting, and thoughtful decor make it a perfect spot for brunch dates or breakfast with the family. It’s elegant without being stuffy, and every detail feels intentional.

Wow, this place is very worth it for the money. Pastries are flaky and perfect. My lox, avocado, croissant Benedict was only $12?!
Marii, our server was friendly and had great suggestions.
And they have 0 proof mimosas!

I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. We stopped by after checking out Island Books and it was a lovely place to have a small bite and read. We ordered the egg bénédict croissant with salmon & avocado, hazelnut croissant, and mocha. The poached egg was slightly over cooked and the coffee was alright but the croissant was really great. The owner was really friendly and we loved the atmosphere of the place. If it wasn’t for the food I would probably give 5 stars!

I have visited L’Experience Paris a few times before, but my experience today with an out-of-state guest was deeply disappointing. We encountered significant issues with both the food quality and the level of service.

Food Quality Issues
• Temperature: I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, which arrived refrigerator-cold. When I alerted the server, he claimed it had “just come out of the oven,” which was impossible given the temperature.
• Poor Reheating: After being sent back, the croissant returned warm on the outside, but the ham inside remained cold.
• Lack of Ingredients: The filling was nearly non-existent, consisting of a mere sliver of ham and no discernible cheese. This falls far short of the “generous amount” one expects from a proper French pastry.

Service Failures
• Negligence: Our server never returned to check on us, preventing us from ordering additional items. My friend eventually had to flag down a random staff member to ask about her missing coffee.
• Unprofessional Attitude: When asked for the missing coffee, the staff member told us to wait so she could speak with another table first. That was fine but when she returned, she told us how it should have arrived prior to receiving our food. We realize that someone forgot the coffee but I’m not sure of her point in making us feel like we did something wrong.
• The “Hint” to Leave: After the coffee finally arrived, the server reappeared only to warn us that we might get a parking ticket if we stayed too long. It felt like a thinly veiled attempt to push us out of the restaurant after ignoring us for the duration of our meal.

Conclusion
Despite being local and being dressed appropriately, we felt unwelcome and ignored. We ended up cutting the visit short and heading to Tavern Hall in Bellevue just to get an actual meal. It was an embarrassing impression to leave on a visitor, and I won’t be rushing back.

Wouldn’t recommend this place. While the croissants are excellent, the coffee was burnt and bitter, the little cakes were average, and they are totally overpriced at $18 a piece. What was the worst part was the service. We came in 30 minutes before store closing and were basically told that they had nothing left, which wasn’t true. Upon asking, the waiter sold us his last remaining croissants and little cakes. We asked if we could sit there and eat locally, to which they only reluctantly agreed. Instead of serving us the croissants and cakes on plates, we were given everything in to-go bags (basically already telling us not to stay). At 3:55 pm we were getting ready to leave, but still needed a quick restroom run. The server hated that, and he made sure to communicate that to us opening the door, carrying garbage around, and giving us nasty looks. When we left and said thank you, he said nothing in return and just looked really angry.

Honestly, for such an expensive pastry place, such service and attitude are unacceptable. Don’t waste your money here when they don’t care about the customer at all.
