I have been coming to this restaurant for quite a while. The service is always excellent and the food always delicious. The pulled pork sandwich is my usual and it is always perfect and comes with a lot of meat. My friends usually get the brisket sandwich and love it. The greens are the best I have ever had and are definitely fresh and full of flavor. I usually get the peach cobbler and it is always on point. Today I tried the banana pudding and it was great. Pics of the pudding and greens attached. I actually got to meet Chef Dominique while at the restaurant recently and she could not have been more friendly.

Writing this in a blissful food coma and trying to find the words! The smoked beef brisket easily holds its own with the best Texas bbq. Flavorful, tender, not greasy. Lexington Betty’s BBQ sauce enhances the experience without overpowering it. Mac and cheese was spot-on—breadcrumbs and elegantly shaved scallion took it to the next level. Shoutout for not using plastic containers. Friendly and fast service. Don’t put it off — get down here now!

Was looking for a local BBQ joint and stopped here on my way home from Quad Cities to Toledo. The owner, Chef Dominique, was working the counter and took my order of pulled pork mac & cheese. No fountain drinks but they have fresh lemonade and a cooler full of 20 oz bottled Pepsi products. I headed for the restroom (it was a road trip, after all) and my food arrived at my table a minute or two after I did. My food was absolutely delicious, the portion was generous, and the leftovers were even better as lunch the next day. I’ll be back next time I’m in the area!

I have been coming here for awhile & kept forgetting to do my review. The restaurant is always nice & clean, the cashier & waiters are polite & professional. The food is good. The ribs are good & tender, however the last 2 times I’ve come the ribs & fries were extremely salty

THE RESTAURANT WAS Extremely CLEAN.
Owner wasn’t very nice
That being said… time for the meat of this conversation…
But the Quality of meat wasn’t impressive for 100$ for lunch for 4
See attached photos
When asked about it
the Owner,
Chef Dominique said
“ that how they are”
So now
Moving forward…
So the smoke ring was not existent on ribs and chicken
The waters were $4.16 each ! Sam’s Club waters!
The fries were cold
Seems
Like a big advertising gig with not much real “smoke”behind it
The videos that were playing were inappropriate for families
“Indecent females in videos for my 11 year old son and daughter to comment on.
This place is OVER RATED
AND just not worth the prices
or tolerating the riding behavior from an owner like we were beneath her…
So to all my 250,000 + followers keep driving and please and find a more gracious location and don’t get let down
for the lack of flavor you would expect from a “SMOKEHOUSE

Get here now! Chef Dominique was so cool and welcoming to us and to everyone who came in while we were there. We were lucky enough to catch them putting meat on the smoker and it was so cool! I had the brisket sandwich and the meat was so tender and the sauce delicious. Seasoned fries were awesome. My friend and the pulled pork and loved it. We also tried the fresh lemonade and watermelon lemonade. Both outstanding. Clean and spacious inside! Can’t wait to come back!!

When I tell you, this was some of the best barbecue that I’ve had in quite a while. It’s at this place. I experienced them at the Taste of Chicago. I had the brisket which was mouthwatering and Excellent so I had to finally go to the brick and mortar I had a small tip with fries with spicy sauce on it and it was Great definitely will return.

Was nearby and decided to pop in after watching a news segment on this place. It definitely did not disappoint! I was torn on what to choose from the rib tips, chicken, chicken wings and the Mac n cheese, but ultimately settled for the brisket sammy. Let me tell u, glad I did because the fry seasoning complimented the brisket and BBQ sauce perfectly!! It was a marriage made in heaven! Next time I will try the rib tips and chicken platter and hopefully the mac n cheese. I loved the sauce so much I bought a bottle for home along with a pack of the Waygu Andouille links. One thing that wasn’t on the menu that we experienced was meeting the owner Dominique. She is just as delightful as she appears on BBQ Brawl season 4 and we were honored to chat with her for a bit! This is a must visit if ever in the city, I know we will be back for sure!!

Absolutely delicious!!! I had the beef brisket sandwich with all the trimmings and I have to say it was the best brisket I ever had. Very tender and flavorful. Staff was very friendly! Already looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I decided to try Lexington Betty Smokehouse after seeing Leach on BBQ Brawl, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. I had the brisket sandwich, and it had no smoky flavor at all. Everything we tried needed barbecue sauce just to bring out some taste. A good smoked meat shouldn’t rely on sauce — it should be flavorful enough to enjoy with or without it.

The chicken wings were also a letdown. They needed to be more charred; instead, they had a gummy texture. Overall, the food tasted more like backyard grilling than true barbecue. With “Smokehouse” in the name, we expected bold, authentic smoke flavor — but it just wasn’t there.

On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean and the service was great. But the food definitely needs more flavor and authenticity to live up to the name and the hype.
