This place may look bad from the outside, but I’m telling you go in and eat. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The waitress was super nice. The serving sizes are big and they have a great kids menu.

Such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. We had our first burgers in America here and they were as good as we imagined. The (American) fries were phenomenal. Brian also gave us a nice travel tip to the Roanoke Star and we thoroughly enjoyed the view up there.

Anyway, it was a wholesome experience and we would definitely recommend this place.

3.5 so I rounded up. The Sub was really good, best of the food that we ordered in my opinion. I will order that again. The Wings and onion rings were decent. The beer was good. The burger was so-so. The stand out was the great friendly service and how clean everything was.

We’re going to stop in again to see if we find the one thing on the menu that really wows us and makes us want to turn into regulars. But all in all we had no complaints and we considered it a decent place to grab a hot meal. No long wait and again such great friendly service with a smile.

Note: Parking is a bit tight so keep that in mind if you want to hit this spot on a weekend or during typically busy hours.

My husband is from ohio and he always tries to find places that make pizza like up there. Here is as close as I’ve seen him be happy. As in he at his food then half my pizza . Honestly very glad the band wasn’t there when we went in. I find bands to be to loud. But, the food was amazing!

Great little bar restaurant with really good food and fair prices.

I had the daily special: French Dip sandwich with drink included for $9.99. I did sub fries for the chips for $2.49 more and glad that I did.

One of the best French Dip sandwiches I’ve ever had. Service was good – had a new drink brought to me without asking when my first was still half full.

Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Mostly off-street parking. It’s seat-yourself service with a good variety of menu options. The food was decent but definitely pricey for what you get.

My husband and I ordered onion rings to share, two hamburgers with fries, and two sodas. With a 20% tip calculated on the food portion only (note: the suggested tip amounts on the receipt were incorrectly based on the total bill), plus a credit card upcharge of about 3% and the additional 1% city sales tax for Roanoke, the total came to $56.93 — roughly $28.50 per person.

Overall, it was fine, but the pricing alone will likely keep me from returning.

First time here and Eliza was a wonderful server. We were undecided of what to get so he got the Broadway Joe with beer battered fries and I got the Full Monty with beer battered onion rings. Let me tell you, it was ALL delicious! There are happy hour specials, TV’s with the game playing, bar seating, high top tables and regular tables. The prices are fair and portions good, we would definitely go back.

We were just passing through Roanoke and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. The Mozzarella Cheese Sticks were delicious. I had the soup of the day which was tomato basil, homemade, and it was really good. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate a non meat soup of the day. Our server was friendly. I would eat at Lews again:-)

It was freezing cold inside, so it made the food cold. Not pleasant to sit in and had to eat with big coat. The employees had a space heater behind the counter for themselves. If the heat doesn’t work say so, buy some electric heaters for around the building. I’ve been a regular costumer until tonight! And the bill was 70 for 2 people!!

Get the Philly Steak burger or Philly Steak sub, with extra cheese! Their beer-battered fries are great!
The onion rings were ok. Not amazing. I also highly recommend the tomato basil soup!!!
The atmosphere isn’t bad for a bar setting at all. We saw several families with kids. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and down to earth.

Seriously… Philly Cheese steak!

EDIT 01182020 the Full Monty which is their double burger is (grilled to medium per request) amazing. The perfect amount of tomato, and cheese on a well toasted bun. I could not finish the one pound burger!
They have deep fried Oreos, which are the perfect way to end a meal here!
You really cannot go wrong!
And their staff, (especially Jerrod and the other bearded guy) continues to be top notch service!
