Visited 12/13/25 had dinner with my husband. It was my first time. Lew was very personable and provided great service. I got the chicken taquitos which I loved the cheese they were amazing and my husband got the pulled pork big daddy sandwich and his was also good. The potato salad was 10/10 and the Mac n cheese was 8/10. I’m not usually a potato salad person but it was amazing. Lew also runs a ministry where he gives back to the community. Read his story there and I feel like he is an inspiring man especially for troubled young men that need guidance. Thank you and God Bless!

Most bbq places around here serve dry tasteless brisket but the brisket here was juicy and flavorful. The cornbread and Mac n Cheese were also very good. Lew also has a cool story. Highly recommend!

Review coming from a Texan who grew up in the Hill Country and is very familiar with what’s good BBQ. I got their sampler plate which had chicken, pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. I also ordered a side of mac & cheese, as well as some potato salad. The chicken was my favorite. Extremely moist meat with the perfect Smokey flavor. Pulled pork was tender and Smokey. The rib held the meat and was extremely tender. The bark on the rib and the brisket was next level. The brisket could use some more fat; but that’s a personal preference. The sauce was perfectly sticky and flavorful. The Mac used large noodles and was the perfect combo of creamy cheesy, and crisped up cheesy. Potato salad had some extra seasoning on it that gave it some extra flair. This place would do well in the lone star state and happy that Everett has some legit BBQ nearby.

If I must criticize anything, it would be my preference to have raw onion, pickles, and some sliced white bread served with the plate. That’s 100% a Texan BBQ thing; but that’s all I could really complain about this place. Absolutely fantastic food.

This place was very welcoming and is a Christian establishment. 10/10 would recommend their food and supporting their mission.

Mean Lew’s BBQ – A New Favorite!
Who doesn’t love a good food truck? You know you’ve picked the right spot when there’s a line of people eagerly waiting for their lunch—and that was exactly the scene at Mean Lew’s BBQ.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac & cheese and coleslaw, and my husband went for the tri-tip sandwich loaded with grilled onions, mushrooms, horseradish slaw, and melted pepper jack cheese.

The food absolutely lived up to the hype.
The pulled pork had that perfect crispy edge and rich, smoky flavor. The slaw added a refreshing crunch and balance. And the tri-tip? Cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and unforgettable.

This spot is definitely a new favorite for us. Can’t wait to go back!

Place is cute, but a bit run down, so I’m going to give it a 4 star on that.
But the food makes up for it, indefinitely. I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ and traveled around a lot. But this is some of the best BBQ I’ve had, hands down. Food was absolutely delicious and a notable take on BBQ. I’m not a fan of Mac’ but thoroughly enjoyed this.

I had driven past this spot way too many times with intentions of stopping by. A few days ago, I had time to stop in. You can smell the smoke pit from the road, which let’s you know it’s going to be good.
When I came in, I let Lew know I was a first timer and he helped me figure out what I wanted. Ended up getting the brisket sandwich, collard greens, and Mac n cheese. Boooooy! I should have taken a picture but it looked too good to waste time doing that. The brisket was super juicy and flavorful. BBQ sauce was perfect. Smoke flavor was just the right amount. Collard greens were absolutely on point. The Mac n Cheese… that was nothing less than divine. I cannot stress enough how good the Mac was. The best part was that all of this food reheated well the next day for leftovers. You know brisket is great when its STILL not dry the next day microwaved.
Lew was very nice and who I believe was his wife was very pleasant too. The restaurant is covered in stuff to keep your eyes busy. This is a local business that keeps involved in the community. We need to keep places like this alive.
Stop by. Spend money. Eat well and spread the word to your friends. You won’t be sorry!

When I pop up to Everett I love getting my Brooklyn Bros. Pizza. Drove past Lew’s BBQ and thought, hey- let’s try something new and local!
Worst BBQ I’ve had. I used a delivery app for pick up. I cannot believe the “$20 lunch special” was the meat and a roll. I paid $3.50 extra for mac and cheese, and it’s grey looking and and clearly not made fresh. It doesn’t even appear to have been made yesterday. I actually tried a bite and there’s zero cheese sauce here, the seasoning is odd too. They should have just said they were out of the mac, instead of serving this.
The roll tastes store bought (thank goodness). I’m sorry. I don’t typically post bad reviews but this is pathetic.
I shoulda just gotten my slice of pizza.

THE BEST BBQ I’VE EVER HAD HANDS DOWN . If you’re looking for world-class BBQ in the Pacific Northwest, Lew’s BBQ in Everett is the spot. I’ve had barbecue from all over the U.S., but nothing has come close to what Lew’s serves up. Every bite was packed with deep, smoky flavor, perfectly balanced seasoning, and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The brisket? Unbelievable—juicy, with that perfect bark and just the right amount of smoke. The ribs fell right off the bone, and the pulled pork was so flavorful it didn’t even need sauce (though his house-made sauce is incredible). Even the sides were top-notch—mac and cheese that’s rich and smoky with a little crunch, the best collard greens I’ve ever had with pot liquor that I wish I could’ve drank on the side and cornbread that tastes like it came straight out of the South. Oh, and the sweet tea, it’s the best sweet tea you’ll ever have… bar none. Beyond the food, the people at Lew’s make the experience even better. Lew and his wife are an amazing, sweet, and kind hearted couple. The service is warm and welcoming, and you can tell they put their heart and soul into everything they do. This is the kind of BBQ that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. If you’re anywhere near Everett, do yourself a favor and get to Lew’s BBQ. It’s not just good—it’s life-changing BBQ, and you’re going to be planning your next trip back.

Delicious and large portions! I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, then split potato salad and mac n cheese with my husband. Definitely recommend all those!

Thus place is so good! Lew, the owner, knows what he is doing. The collard greens were just right. It wasn’t very busy at the moment I was there, so we talked about life and just hung out. Definitely will be going back, and bringing friends.
