Nice no frills restaurant. Booth or table seating. Booths are in the front and tables at the rear. (During the summer there is also deck seating.) You can do on-street parking or in their parking lot. Always room to park. The interior is clean and nothing fancy but the food is amazing. Large quantity of fresh hot food that is seasoned. Very tasty! The service is fast and attentive. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the size and taste of the food. This is restaurant is a hidden gem for eat in or take out. Yummy!

Haven’t been here in a few years, so I decided to give it another try. The service was great! Very nice, quick with getting the orders and drinks, and very well mannered. The prices weren’t that bad compared to the portion sizes. The food was alright. The wings were a bit odd, but they were good. The cheesesteak wasn’t what I had expected. Seemed like more of a burger cut into pieces than typical shredded steak. It was very flavorful, however. Overall not a bad place for a nice easy dinner with the family.

Awesome breakfast! Very timely. Never let my coffee get cold. Food was very very good. Table of bff’s next to me sharing mimosas. Another table of veterans enjoying each other’s company. Can’t wait to come back!!!

I had a wonderful lunch at Cusat’s Cafe, a Hazleton, PA bar and restaurant. Cusat’s has been in business since 1936! Without question, an impressive run. Cusat’s is located in Hazleton’s Alter Street Business District at 12th St. It features ample off-street parking and a covered outdoor deck for the warmer months.
For lunch, I went traditional Hazleton. I had a sausage and scamutz sandwich, fries with gravy and a Farmer’s Iced Tea. The bread was a dream having been made by nearby Senape’s Bakery. The roll is crispy on the outside, light and soft on the inside. Does not overpower the sandwich – perfect! The sausage was homemade. Again, the sausage was homemade! Perfectly seasoned and a little spicy it was perfectly balanced in flavor. For those not familiar, scamutz, derived from scamorza is a Hazleton-style mozzarella cheese. It is mild, creamy and melts perfectly. Friends, these folks are the real deal, food-wise!
Hazleton is a wonderland of multi-cultural food. Cusat’s Cafe continues to take its well-deserved place in this community. I highly recommend a visit!
