Our Grander Reopening in December, 2022 was an amazing moment. After long years of starts, stops, COVID, and construction… we finally got to unveil our little corner of heaven! A beautiful 2-layer taproom with views of the brewing operation. A kitchen making our delicious food. A staff that’s friendly and loves to talk beer. And a music venue that can ramp up the fun for your night out!
Free parking in the front or back of the building makes it so very accessible. Meet up with friends and family and grab the perfect barstool, booth, or cozy table in the Mezzanine.
We are so happy to be in downtown Altoona making new friends and seeing human connections happen all around us! That’s what fills up our love tank at Levity Brewing.
Levity Brewing Co.
Our beautiful 2nd brewery in the heart of Downtown Altoona is the place to visit in the Railroad City. Amazing food, beer, cocktails, and events year-round.

We love it here! The food & beer are fantastic! They also have fun events throughout the week and great live music, usually on the weekends. The bartenders are great! Will, Amber, , Lee, Brenden, Lindsay, Emily, Rob, Ashley & Amrish all take good care of us! As good as the food, beer & entertainment are, it’s the staff that keep us coming back!

Highly recommend! The place is chill and spacious, crew is caring and the vibe is awesome. On a Monday afternoon this is one of the only breweries open and it’s a great choice! A nice variety of beer, large menu and Monday build your on tacos. The tacos were amazing!!! Levity also organized community based events which is extra special.

Very neat place to be. Loved the decorations, staff and food! Everything we ordered were so delicious. The big Pretzel, it was hugh, was so soft and warm. It was just right and hit the spot. Best Ruben sandwich!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after visiting a pick your own tulip farm nearby and got to watch fun talent show auditions.
The space is beautiful and cozy with brick walls and light flooding in from the front and back. The staff were friendly and helpful and shared some great recommendations for other places to eat and sip (beer and coffee).
The beers were excellent and the cocktails looked well made, although I stuck with a couple IPAs and a taster or 2.
The food was also excellent although we only had pulled pork nachos and a hot dog. The nachos were excellent and the tortilla chips seemed house made with an interesting subtle sweetness.
You should go if you’re nearby. I know I’ll be back!!

The pork nachos were very good, my daughter and I were able to share them as a meal. The reuben was equally as good with the meat being nice a lean. The beers were nice as well

Great food, beer, and atmosphere. We first came here when they were new to the area and just a small brewery with bar seating. They have grown so much over the past couple of years, adding more great beer and delicious food. They offer many fun things to do throughout the week, including music bingo, trivia, and live music. You won’t be disappointed.

I love everything about this place except the ordering system. It’s like self-serve for some reason with food runners. Please, for the love of god, hire some servers. I don’t understand why there is one point of contact with the register for ordering food and drinks. Everyone has to line up at one register to order everything fore the ENTIRE bar. It slows everything down and creates a huge bottleneck. When you’re there you spend 75% of your visit waiting in line to order/reorder drinks instead of sitting at your table conversing with your friends until a server comes around. I’m sure it stops people from ordering more, so you’re losing money. It can’t be labor cost, because servers only get paid $2.83 an hour. I’ve been here several times and it’s got a lot of potential but it’s being squandered. The other night we were going to buy a $50 gift card to here but the line was so long we didn’t have time to wait, so we left.
