We dined at Level 6 in Coconut Grove during our Miami trip and had a very enjoyable evening. We ordered the seafood paella and octopus leg, and both dishes were well-executed and flavorful — honestly among the better meals we’ve had in Miami.
We paired our dinner with a bottle of Daou white wine, which complemented the food nicely.
The restaurant is located on the rooftop, and the sunset view over Coconut Grove was beautiful, making the whole dining experience even more special. The bar area also looked inviting, and the overall ambiance was relaxed yet refined. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit.
Would definitely recommend Level 6 for both food and atmosphere, especially around sunset.
Next time we are in town, we will be back for sure and will highly recommend this place!
Paella was amazing same as mushroom croquets! Best we have ever tried!
PS also Octopus is fantastic!
The food though left a a lot to be desired. Shrimp was just too shrimp tasting – very strong flavor. A proper gambas al ajillo should have a strong garlic flavor not over powering shrimp out of the sea flavor. Hamachi was okay but again- not great. Unsure why there is a green sauce. The octopus was good though.
I guess you really go here for the view and drinks. So stick with that
From the moment we handed our keys to the valet, the quality service begins. We were greeted by a live jazz trio playing as we entered the lobby, then quickly guided to the elevator that whisked us up to the sixth-floor haven. A warm, friendly host welcomed us immediately upon arrival.
The service was a touch slow at times, but it was only because the restaurant was bustling with happy, well-dressed guests enjoying a leisurely Sunday brunch—a good sign! I truly appreciated how the management team was highly visible, checking in with guests frequently to ensure everyone was comfortable.
The ambiance is top-notch. A DJ set the perfect Sunday-morning vibe with lively, upbeat tunes, complemented by a solo violinist who played along to the rhythm for a refined, spectacular touch.
And the view? Truly breathtaking—photos simply don’t do it justice. It’s an unforgettable panorama you have to experience in person.
Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and Level Six has quickly become one of my top restaurant recommendations in the Gables. We’ll absolutely be back.
Firstly it’s a beautiful restaurant. The view is gorgeous, sunset was amazing. The vibe and ambiance is amazing. If I was rating just on that it would be 5 stars. Service was also great. Friendly and attentive and overall great.
The food, especially the paella was a big let down. Cocktail i has was ok. Mushroom croquettes were ok, the octopus was good (but not the best I’ve had) the mussels were ok ( I thought something was a bit too zippy, almost sour about the broth) Now to the paella, for a dish that’s suppose to be one of the more popular items, it was trash. Every single paella I’ve had in my life, was better than this one. It was so flavorless. You guys need to rework this menu item. I’ve had paella in fancy restaurants, Miami restaurants, restaurants in Spain and other European countries, even paella from the borough market in London and paella from food trucks were better than this one. It was not good. Infact I didn’t even want dessert after this, I just wanted to leave. They did bring out a chocolate cake dessert for my birthday which was good, but I was already so disappointed about the food. I felt bummed since this was a birthday dinner. Nothing was overwhelming good, nothing was memorable (in a good way) and nothing that makes me want to come… except for the amazing view, which isn’t enough to make me spend my money here again. This menu needs to be reworked with a new chef that understands flavor, balancing and how to entice diners.
The service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The only downside was that the music was really loud, to the point where we had to practically shout to hear each other. Other than that, it’s a beautiful spot with great vibes, food, and drinks.
