Arrived on a Saturday morning around nine, and the place was packed, yet the experience was more than worth it. The aroma greeted me the moment I stepped in, making me excited to explore all their creations. Many guests were relaxing inside and on the small outdoor patio.
I picked up a mix of pastries to take home—no way I can pronounce half their names—yet each one was light, fresh, and incredibly tasty. My top choice was a chocolate-cherry mini cake, followed closely y an almond treat filled with orange marmalade.
This feels like a true French-style pastry haven, offering new delights every week. I enjoyed mine with an oat-milk latte that carried a strong, rich taste. Fresh trays kept coming out all morning, making it a perfect spot to unwind with a novel or spend a calm morning with friends.
I’ll certainly return for more heavenly treats.

We visited this place last week after our trip to Paris. Anyone who has visited or lived abroad for a little while, know how harsh the western diet is when you come back to the states, so we decided to give this place a try until our GI system was acclimated to foods here and to also hold on to our what was left of our vacation! We came in on two separate occasions, just a few days apart and it was relatively the same atmosphere except for the 2nd visit. It was so loud inside this place I had to shout my order to the lady behind the counter! No biggie, but goodness that was a bit of a mess! The croissants were good, a little on the pricey side, but good, nonetheless. However, the Pain Au Chocolat was good until we found dog hair on one of them (both visits), so this was a little off-putting. We thought it was a fluke the first time we found a dog hair, but the second time…that was it for us! And for the record, we found the hairs after we got home and opened the box/bag to put them in a container. Either way, for the price we paid for the pastries, the extreme volume, and dog hair, I don’t think we’ll be visiting this location for a while.

These are some of the best croissants I’ve ever had. Their pastry dough is so flaky, you will notice hundreds of layers in every bite. There’s a large variety of menu options; it’s hard to try it all in one visit so I will definitely be coming back for more. The owners and chefs are all super nice and have great recommendations. I highly recommend trying whatever they tell you their favorite menu item is; you won’t regret it.

Been here a handful of times since they opened.
Way too crowded on Saturday.
I ordered a plain and chocolate croissant. Today it had the texture as if it had been sitting around for a day or so and had become stale.
My daughter had brought home a chocolate croissant a few weeks back (on a week day) and it was buttery, flakey, and delicious so I’m sure they know what they are doing, I just get the impression they get slammed on Saturday and bake off bunches leading up to Saturday.
Not sure I’ll be going back, not enough seating, too loud, and inconsistent and expensive.

In love with this bakery!
Best pastries in Huntsville — fresh, and full of flavor. The place is super cute with a real French vibe, and the chef always greets you personally. A true gem!

Could have been five star for the pastries alone. probably some of the best I’ve had. Super fresh, flaky, and full of flavor. The place itself is cozy and has a nice vibe. Coffee a bit over-extracted though. Staff could definitely be friendlier. Not rude, just kind of cold Still, the food makes up for it, and I’d totally go back for the pastries alone.

This place is absolutely cute and cozy, it has a very nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly. The croissants are very good only wish they had more warmed them up but even at room temperature they tasted very good. The coffee is made well and just as one would expect just wish they had a variety with the coffee rather then your typical ones kind of wanted more special flavor or seasonal flavors. But overall the bakery items are worth the visit.

I cannot say enough about this establishment: first class service, quality, and atmosphere are just the beginning. I feel as if I have never had a good croissant in my life before I tried L’Etoile. My favorites (and they are all tied for first place because there is no way to discern the best item in the display case): Koigne-Amman, quiche, pistachio choux. The owner takes time to greet customers regularly DURING service, everyone is so welcoming and willing to answer all my questions about items I am unfamiliar with, and the coffee menu is superb. L’Etoile is a Huntsville treasure, and I am a lifetime customer!

Delicious croissants and very chic cafe space. Indoor & outdoor seating available.
The building with the patisserie, Holtz leather, and home goods shop has a pass through hallway towards the back.

One of the best pastry shops I’ve ever been to across several states. The items are fantastic and reasonably priced for the quality of what’s being served.
The staff is always so friendly and kind. Even when it’s busy with a line out the door they do their best to ensure you’re being helped.
Almost every time I visit the owner will walk around and greet every table individually and thank them for visiting. It never feels obligatory, but genuine and kind.
If I had to give any negative feedback it would be that their selection makes it hard to choose what to get each visit. I also wish they were open 7 days each week, but that’s more selfishly wanting more of their delightful offerings than anything.
