Lester’s is a small classic diner. We serve a wide variety of American cuisine, like breakfast, hamburgers, hot dogs, breaded pork loin sandwiches, pork chops, chicken fried steaks, and even some out of the norm items for a diner like salmon. We also do salads and wraps. We strive to serve the best food in the Grove and surrounding area. We are family owned and operated. We have large truck and semi parking in rear for customers wanting to sit down.

My favorite restaurant in Grove. Every thing I’ve ever ordered here is excellent. You can get the best burgers in town, beautiful chef salads, and don’t let the diner look fool you- the salmon is world class.

Brought my 6 yr old and 13 yr old Granddaughter’s a couple of Saturdays ago. Don’t let the small size of the building fool you! This was some of the best food I have had in a long while!
There was Diner food and incredible French Fries. One Grand got a corn dog and fries, the other got a bacon cheeseburger burger that looked Artisan but both were served in nostalgic red diner baskets. This was elevated diner food for sure.
My grilled porkchips were simply delicious, I’d love to know what seasoning they used! I had a side salad that was as beautiful as delicious! Everything tasted very fresh! I recommend their Rasberry Vinigrette. Giving the Grill Master props- he’s so got Chops!
There were only about 5 tables in there and I don’t know why the place didn’t have a line out the door!
They also had a decadent desert menu!
I will definitely make the drive frommy home over an hour away to eat here again!

I’ve been eating here the last two years and definitely my favorite in grove. Will continue to go. This is the first time I’ve have their breakfast. Never disappoints. Lester’s Diner is awesome

The Diner was okay. Our Fries and curly fries were amazing, and my wife had a Turkey melt special which was served on rye, and was pretty good.
The problem we had was the 1/3 pound patty melt. Patty melts need to have more meat due to sourdough being so large, so I have this poorly proportioned patty melt that left 1/2 of the sandwich inedible. The beef on the patty melt, which is “local” was so dry it dried my mouth out, I had to put mustard on my patty melt. Also, the Swiss Cheese was on the bottom of the bread, which is really weird, you should overlap and melt the two cheeses on a patty melt. I have seen a lot of local beef that isn’t even close to 80/20, or 90/10 at the MOST which is what you need for a good burger. I will try this again, but I will 100% not order a hamburger of any sort.

Great food in a quaint, clean little diner. The hand cut fries were delicious. Cheeseburger, Hot ham & Cheese sandwich and French onion soup were delightful. Everything is cooked to order but our food was served very quickly. Staff was lovely and the prices are reasonable. If you are in Grove, give them a try. You won’t be sorry.

Great food and friendly service! One of the best chicken fried steaks I’ve ever had. I also love that they have art on their walls of pictures from a local photographer, for sale, so cool! Fun weekly specials, and tasty looking menu, will definitely be coming back!

Try the BLT it’s so good! Burger is really good as well!! Chili cheese frito pie is definitely worth a try! They have awesome service! If they have it try the pie!!! I did not regret it!!

Food was amazing so was the service. The blackberry cobbler was warm and served with ice cream. I had the chicken salad sandwich with fries and it was delicious and the fries were salted and fresh. My fiancé had the quarter pound burger and fries and it was perfectly cooked and the fries were nicely salted. The server was kind and attentive. It has a great atmosphere for home style dining.

Awesome little diner I had somehow never seen before, I’ve been coming to Jay and the surrounding area my entire life, not sure how I had never seen this place before. My family had our Easter gathering Saturday and so when we went out to lunch Sunday nobody was open except Lester’s. I ordered their chicken sandwich and curly fries, the bang to buck ratio was great and I’m not sure how they did it but they shaped the chicken into a perfect little bowl so no toppings slid out. There was a great amount of chicken there and the fries were solid. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.
