We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Les Jardins de la Carambole in Huế.
Tucked away on a quiet side street, this place truly feels like a hidden gem. The atmosphere is serene, charming, and peaceful — a perfect escape from the busy streets. From the moment you walk in, you feel relaxed and welcomed. The setting has a beautiful balance of elegance and comfort, making it ideal for both a romantic dinner or a quiet evening with friends.
The food was excellent from start to finish. The soup we ordered was delicious, full of flavor, and perfectly prepared. Our main course was just as impressive — beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. I honestly regret not writing down the names of the dishes because everything on the menu looked appetizing. It’s one of those rare places where you want to try almost every item.
What truly made the experience stand out was the staff. They were always smiling, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. Their service was professional yet warm, and the fact that they are multilingual made everything even easier and more comfortable for international travelers.
If you are visiting Hue, I would absolutely recommend dining here. It’s peaceful, delicious, and memorable — a true gem that travelers should not miss. We will definitely return on our next visit!

“The best Beef Tenderloin I’ve ever had! A perfect Christmas Eve dinner”

I visited yesterday for Christmas Eve, and it was absolutely fantastic. Even though it was packed with people for the holiday, the restaurant maintained a cozy, authentic French atmosphere, and the exterior of the building is simply beautiful.
The highlight was definitely the Beef Tenderloin. The texture was incredible, and the harmony with the mushroom sauce was exquisite—honestly, it rivals any top-tier steakhouse I’ve been to. If you visit here, I highly recommend choosing the steak over other dishes. It’s a must-try!

We had a fantastic dinner at this French restaurant in Hue. The French onion soup was the very best onion soup we have ever had! The desserts in our menu (crepe and chocolate brownie with ice cream) were also refreshing and delightful. Excellent service and friendly staff. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Had a lovely experience. Was a little unsure coming with all the good reviews—thought the place might not live up to the expectations. It totally did. Everything about the experience was lovely. Starting with music, design, service, and of course, food. We got two set menus (Vietnamese & royal), would def recommend.

We’re currently traveling through Vietnam and came here on the recommendation of our private guide—and we’re so glad we did. While the restaurant may be more geared toward non-residents, the food was truly exceptional and beautifully authentic.

The service from Duong was phenomenal—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a great experience. Portion sizes were perfectly balanced, and the variety and quality of the food and wine selection was honestly impressive—far more extensive than anything else we’ve encountered in Vietnam.

This was a standout dining experience and one we would happily return to. Highly recommend adding this restaurant to your list.

I recently dined at Les Jardins de la Carambole and had an excellent experience. We chose a set menu and every course was impressive. The chicken cream soup had a spectacular flavor, and even though I’m not usually a fan of salads, theirs was well-balanced and genuinely enjoyable.

For the main course, we tried both the fish and the meat dishes. I had the chance to taste both, and they were equally delicious. To finish, we were served passion fruit ice cream, which was refreshing and very tasty.

The staff deserves special recognition—they were fast, polite, and very attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is charming and spotless, creating a pleasant atmosphere from start to finish.

Overall, a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommended.

I got the Vietnamese menu and I recommend it 100%. Cute outsides and insides, in a quiet street with a fresh terrace. The waitresses had always a smile and specially Tsao, who attended me. More than enough food for an affordable price.

The European and Mediterranean set menus featured excellent appetizers and main courses! The desserts were just average, especially the lemon tart, which was far too sweet! The crepes were also rather bland. I recommend ordering the main courses separately!
