Extensive wine list, nicely focused menu with classics and new tastes. We went on a cold day for some brunch, so the hearty chicken pozole was much appreciated. Mushroom toast was tasty – soft bread, flavorful spread, but the mushrooms were a bit chewy. Tartare was classic, capery, and easy to eat. Olives were interesting with a taste of fennel from the pollen. Wines were standard, coffee drinks were a nice option. Small and bright homey space for a few drinks and snacks with friends, I’d be interested to go back for dinner.

We were in town from Boston and were definitely looking forward to the meal. My husband and myself independently choose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The service – spot on! Helpful and attentive. We visited on a Tuesday, so enjoyed the tap wines special. For our meal, we ordered the deviled eggs (wonderful), a large plate that included pork belly and a large plate that was pasta with short ribs. We finished with a dessert that included pretzels, caramel and chocolate. The appetizer and dessert were the highlights of the evening. The mains, however, fell short. The pork belly didn’t seem to have the crispiness/taste that I’m accustomed to. Both mains seemed to lack flavors you wanted more of. Based upon previous reviews, perhaps we simply experienced an off day

One of my favs in Asheville!! Leo’s is a restaurant with a truly inviting atmosphere …warm, full of personality, and unmistakable character. The menu changes frequently, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting, and every dish reflects elevated, sophisticated cuisine executed with care and intention. Their rotating wine selection is equally thoughtful and is a big part of the restaurant’s charm. There’s always something new to discover, and it’s consistently delicious. A place that never feels repetitive and always feels special.

I liked Leo’s. For me, I am a gourmand. I will eat anything. So the fact that they had pasta smothered in a type of vinegar sauce was exciting, cause it’s unique and I love pickles. For my husband who is a picky eater, not so much. Which is fine. But if you like good wine and trying new things, it’s a great place. The servers are a little aloof. Lol.. It’s ‘One of those’ places, if you know what I mean.. 😉

We had a really nice experience at Leo’s. The service was great. Our food was amazing. The wine list was fun. It was busy, so food took a little time, but was worth waiting for. Comping a dish for wait times was overly generous, but appreciated. It was nice watching a restaurant staff work “their restaurant” instead of their individual tables. Wonderful team environment to watch and we will definitely be back!

Had a great time at Leo’s – the wine menu is very cool with a nice, varied selection and you can tell there is so much thought put in the food. We had the recently re-introduced pasta with ragu and peaches – so good! Will be back.

I felt compelled to leave a review after I had such an amazing experience here a couple of nights ago. Their host Phil went above and beyond to make me and my party comfortable while we waited for a table to open up. He kept checking in with me to let me know how long it might be until we sat down, and he and the staff couldn’t have more more accommodating in making sure we felt tended to while we waited. Once we were seated, our service was top notch…and the meal itself was the best I’ve had in so long. We did the deviled eggs, potato salad, shishito petters and roasted cauliflower to share as a table, and everything was delicious. Cooked to perfection. This place is a true gem.

I had the prettiest Reuben I’ve ever had! Their sauerkraut is purple! It was tasty, too! And the staff were just wonderful; super friendly! I’ll definitely go back!
