Leo’s is a classic burger and malt shop in the heart of historic Stillwater, MN. We are open daily 11-8. Enjoy nostalgic indoor dining in the “1888 Mosier Bros” building. Watch Main Street traffic or check out our authentic decor that fills the space. Our newly renovated patio may be enjoyed during all seasons. It offers beautiful views of the St. Croix River bluffs and people watching on Chestnut Street Plaza. In the warm months we offer rooftop dining, during winter the space is transformed to include fire tables and a heated Porch. This space is available to host private parties of up to 27 guests. We have an Ice Cream Walk-Up Window that is open year round. We look forward to serving you.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Leo’s in Stillwater, MN. Everything we ordered was good. I had a bacon cheddar hamburger with onion rings and my husband had a bacon cheddar hamburger with waffle fries. The burgers came with lettuce, a slice of tomato and two dill pickles. The waffle fries were nicely seasoned. The restaurant was very busy on Valentines Day but the great lunch was worth the 25-minute wait. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. ❤️

Normally excellent food and icecream, but tonight the cookie dough icecream tasted like freezer burn, and was crystalline instead of smooth. We didn’t finish it. A disappointing way to end a great meal. We’ve eaten at Leo’s many times, so this was certainly a unusual experience there. I hope they toss out that bad lot of cookie dough icecream and not serve it to others. We let our waitress know.

Stopped here long Stillwater’s main street on our way to Wisconsin, & it was fantastic! We got there just after 5pm on Friday & there was no wait so we beat the line of people that started about 45 minutes later. Service was SUPER friendly & extremely efficient. My kids loved asking the server questions & the server had plenty to share of about the restaurant’s features. The kid’s menu was perfect for the kids, & they loved doing the “can you find” list to hunt down fun items displayed in the restaurant too. Cheese curds, bacon cheddar burger, waffle fries with seasoned sour cream, Oreo malt, sweet potato tots, crinkle fries, hot dog, mini corn dogs… All tasted great & served very quickly. Will definitely come back again & we will be willing to wait in line when we come back next time!

One bite into this burger and I knew ❤️ it was delicious! I really loved the pickles and the chipotle sauce.
You can dine in or outside (just go to the back of the building) you can also go thru their walk-up window and order ice cream + malts
All the burgers come with chips but the basket burger and hotdogs come with fries. I think this is a better deal and gets you full!

We came in five minutes before closing to get some shakes and were warmly welcomed. Our waiter was super animated and fun, and the shakes/malts were all delicious!

This malt shop is genuine and authentic, it’s the real deal. I only scored myself a chocolate malt and was not disappointed at all, it was ice cold and richly flavored. I will definitely be returning.

Nice 50’s style burger joint. The place was full, but the service was friendly and efficient. We split a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and house made (I think) thick potato chips, and a malt. They served the food split and in 2 baskets, which I always appreciate. The burger was juicy, and delicious, the chips nice and crunchy, and the malt was good and malty, you also get the extra shake left in the mixing tumbler . I would recommend it for a delicious quick meal to anyone. It’s pretty much in the center of town, making it very accessible as you stroll the streets of Stillwater.
