I can’t speak to service or atmosphere, as I’ve only ordered delivery so far, but the food always comes hot and fresh. There’s been a couple of minor errors in our order here or there, but overall the food has been terrific. There’s a huge selection and variety to choose from, as well.
Their Greek Salad is amazing. If you order delivery, don’t worry about adding an expensive protein, just add a can of sardines or tuna/salmon/mackeral or similar (especially if it’s packed in olive oil and smoked – just think it adds a nice flavor to the salad) from home or maybe some smoked rainbow trout – delicious! I actually had some sardines in olive oil with preserved lemon, can’t remember the brand (probably King Oscar or maybe Fish Wife), but dredged them in a little corn meal with this dried garlic mixed with powdered tomato, hot paprika, smoked paprika, and some other spices and fried them lightly in the own oil from the can they were preserved in and enhanced with that terrific lemon flavor and bit of spice they were great served alongside the side salad. It made a complete meal for me to be honest.
Growing up my mom always told me that I wouldn’t like beats, so I was afraid to even try them. She’d said the same thing about plain chickpeas. LIES!!! lol on both accounts. Maybe it’s just their pickled beats, but they were amazing. And the chickpeas weren’t mushy and were just great little pops of texture and added crunch to the salad without having to add carbs with croutons or something.
They are a little cheap skimping on the fresh veggies in the salads as well as on the burgers though.
On the side salad size you get with the coney combo you get one small slice of cucumber, one small slice of tomato, and one small slice of beat – and when I say small I mean small. And you’re lucky if you even get one olive. I for the large size Greek salad this last time and paid for extra beats, extra cucumbers, extra tomatoes, and extra chickpeas, as well as paying extra to have 1/2 fresh spinach and 1/2 spring mix instead of the iceberg that comes standard. I didn’t get the spring mix at all and got primarily iceberg lettuce with a little bit of fresh spinach, not even half. Considering the large is the equivalent of about 4 side salads, i expected at least 4 slices of each of those veggies mentioned would be the minimum but that I’d get at least double since I paid for extra. There’s no way I got the extra veggies I paid for. I got a total of 4-5 slices of beats, if that, 4 slices of cucumber, 4 small wedges of tomato and just maybe a handful of chickpeas – not extra whatsoever.
I’d say their stinginess with fresh ingredients is my primary complaint. Same with on the burgers.
Speaking of burgers, I got the patty melt and had it made kinda like a mushroom swiss but left the bread as rye. Wow that was a delicious burger/patty melt. The meat was well-seasoned as well and cooked close to the request of medium rare – it was more medium, but it was great all the same and I know it’s hard to get burgers perfectly especially in a rushed diner/faster food type of experience.
My son has gotten the loaded coney every time so far and obviously has loved it. The only issue really is that the Door Dash delivery app shows a photo of three conies, a drink, and bag of chips as the meal, which is not what you get at all. You get one coney, a side salad (i think Greek is standard but there are other choices), and a side of fries (and you can’t choose which type of fries – it’s just the shoestring kind), but no drink and definitely not 3 conies. I took a photo of the complete meal that it’s supposed to be and sent in a report to Doordash to correct with permission to use my photo, but they still haven’t fixed that photo showing the 3 conies, drink, and chips.
Last time I’ll waste my money here.
Update: We have it another chance Sunday Dec 7th. We sat waiting for 15 min. Twice the server walked past us seated in her section and didn’t even acknowledge us. We won’t be giving this place another chance.
