We traveled down to Ypsilanti for our girls basketball tournament and this was one of the closest resteraunts to our hotel. Our team decided to eat here on a whim due to them being able to accommodate our party. I was surprised by their menu mixing Greek food, hamburger / coney dogs, and breakfast foods. I ordered a Philly and my wife got an antipasta salad. It was the best food we ate the whole trip. The staff was welcoming and accommodating as well. The venu was clean and well lit. I would definitely eat here again!

Went here for lunch with my family and the food was pretty good. The salads were a very large size, even for the small, and the ranch and greek dressings were both pretty good, which can make or break a salad, so we were happy about this. Two of the people in our party had the spinach feta skillet. It was pretty good. We will definitely visit here again soon.

This is a great place for any meal any time of day. (Minutes away from our hotel). It’s even worth a little extra drive from downtown as the prices are nearly 1/2 of what you would pay and the food is freshly made to order. The service is fast and the entire staff is really friendly. All the servers are excellent. Danielle our server was amazing and we went back several times. She always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home! Salads are chilled, crisp and the dressings are really nice. Entrees are generous, served hot at the table and the cooks do an amazing job of making your meals special. Everything is good in here although our favorites were the gyro platter, any salads, chicken parm, club and burgers, kabobs, Greek entrees and the breakfasts with the best tasting pancakes around! I’m going 1 last time before I leave this week and I’m ordering a breakfast for dinner. Excellent quality, generous portions, freshly made and friendly service can’t be beat in this area!

Never left a food review ever but this Leo’s got on my last nerve today. Been eating her for like 15 years. The food is good but they screw something up almost every time. Normally it’s just carry out they mess up but today it was in person. Brought my wife an omelet with nothing in it then brought another omelet out 1:30 seconds later with two pieces of cold unmelted cheese in it. She opted to just have it taken off the bill. And make sure you check your carry out order. They will leave something out almost every time. Also be prepared to verbally be put on the spot if you’d like to tip and how much. Like I said today was the last straw. Absolute Gong show in there.

Large portions, very tasty food, waitresses are very attentive and keep the coffee flowing. Prices are reasonable. Friendly folks. I think it’s called the Village Salad I’ve had it several times. I got the small size; which is a huge portion, and added chicken. It comes with pita bread. It has all the vegetables you can imagine. I had to take more than half home.

⭐️ Review for Leo’s Coney Island – 1342 Anna J. Stepp Rd, Ypsilanti

I’ve been a loyal customer at this Leo’s location for years. My family and I dine here often, and it’s always been our go-to spot for a great breakfast. I especially love their skillets and omelets, and I frequently order takeout to bring to work.

Today, however, I had a disappointing experience. I placed a DoorDash pickup order around 2:30 PM for a veggie skillet and a veggie omelet, scheduled for pickup between 3:30–3:40 PM so I could grab it on my way to work (I work 5 PM–1 AM). Even though I’ve moved to Belleville, I still drive to this Ypsilanti location because I’ve always loved their food and service.

When I arrived, I gave my last name, and the woman at the counter told me my total was $32. I explained that I had already paid via Apple Pay through DoorDash. She immediately replied, “No,” and turned away to stock sauces behind the counter—completely dismissing me while I tried to get her attention.

I pulled up my receipt, DoorDash confirmation, and bank statement showing that my order was paid. After helping two other customers and continuing to ignore me, she finally turned around when I politely said, “Excuse me, the receipt shows that the payment went through and is pending merchant action.” She responded, “When he called, he couldn’t have paid for it because we don’t take payments over the phone.” I clarified that I hadn’t called—it was a DoorDash pickup order.

She then said, “Oh, I only have two orders: one for Lee and one for Karma.” When I told her I was Karma, she suddenly smiled and said, “Oh my goodness, I thought you said Lee!”

I understand that mistakes happen, but the dismissive and rude attitude from the start was completely unnecessary. Simply being friendly and attentive would have made all the difference. Instead, the experience left me feeling disrespected and frustrated, and it even made me late for work.

My family and I have supported this restaurant for years, but this interaction really left a bad impression. I truly hope this feedback helps improve customer service—because I’d hate to take my business elsewhere, even though there’s a Leo’s closer to me in Belleville.

Always check your food before you leave 9 times out of 10 your order is wrong. If you dine in maybe better but the waitress that ring you up or you place an order at the counter always get the orders wrong. I’m so upset about my order I didn’t get all my food and I paid $26. Almost $30. Dollars for my meal

Ok today I went back thinking maybe my food would be right if I go in and order. NO wrong again I can’t believe this I have to stop going to this Leo’s

Atmosphere is great the service is quick and precise love coming here and definitely is one of the better coney islands. The staff can be quite the friendly hosts. If I have to recommend a coney Island this one is by far it.

Owner is rude, agressive to almost being violent… I would highly question his ethics and cleanliness while preparing food… dont need some spitting in my food because they dont like me or my opinions and views while demanding respect for themselves
