Took the Red Line down to Roosevelt and then Orange Line to Kedzie. I ordered the Rib Tips small. Went to Grant Skate Park to eat it but had to take the Orange Line back. It was the Rib Tips, fries and 2 pieces of bread. It was solid but nothing crazy and also I had to eat it in the humid outside on a bench so that wasn’t the best either. The fries were super good tho, nice and crispy.

The food here is consistently delightful! The BBQ is both fast and delicious. While I can vouch for most items on the menu, I usually go for the chicken specials, which come with delectable sauce and fries.

The food was terrible. Dried tips must have been left over from the day before. If you’re scraping the bottom and sides of a pan to make an order, don’t serve the dried up crumbs. Will never eat here again!

Leon’s is a small chain that seems to be confined to the south side of Chicago. Their BBQ is pretty amazing, and very consistently so. This time, “all” that I got to try was fried chicken, hot links, and fries. The chicken was amazing … literally tasted like chicharron made from pork skin! The hot links were great, and the sauce that you pour over both the links and the chicken is excellent. The fries were nice and hot, crispy, and consistently done. In sum, coming from someone who lives in Kansas (where we have great BBQ!), Chicago is no world center for BBQ, but Leon’s is an impressive place, and has to rank among the best that Chicago has to offer.

Your Rib Tips are not the same, I miss the old way they were cooked. Like they were pre-boiled and kinda greasy. I’m sorry I just want to be truthful. Go back to the original brand. I miss me some Leon’s Ribs.

Great service, but food was BELOW AVERAGE❗Hot links were sooo OVERCOOKED and EXTREMELY DRY. Rib tips were just OK.

I wanted to know the Chicago rave was about and tried Leon’s BBQ and regret it. RIBS- To salty, not meaty (literally bones) did not fall off bone I had to saw the bones apart. RIB TIPS – Salty, fatty not enough meat. SAUCE – very bland for BBQ sauce it was the consistency of honey. I’m glad I at least tried it but can’t promise I would return.
