I was able to call ahead. The gentleman running this place was very busy when I arrived, but he still got me in and out quickly.
The prices here are very reasonable. The grinder was good. The only criticism I have is that perhaps if the grinder roll was cut through, perhaps it would have held together a little better… It was sloppy, but still tasty. It definitely was made with the right ingredients.
If you’re working in the area, it is a good place to grab some lunch.

Great sandwiches, lots of choices hot and cold! It was fairly busy during lunch, but the guy made those sandwiches pretty quick!
The bread is all made fresh, the chicken salad was amazing. They also sell homemade pasta

We get italian combos everywhere in the area and this place blows them all away bar none. We drive from branford to get it on our lunch break because no one else even comes close. Our new favorite lunch spot. You can always tell the greatest lunch spots by the amount of work trucks in the parking lot at noon, and there’s no shortage here. Great food, quality ingredients, and the friendliest guy I’ve ever met making the sandwiches.

Small place great experience. The owner attends the place and he knows pretty much every one that goes there. This says a lot about loyalty to the place.
Subs are as fresh as they get, he actually shaves the meats there over the soft Italian bread, it doesn’t get better thant that.
If you look for good home made subs this is the place.

I used to live next door when I was younger I ❤️ leonis! I drove from Florida! All I wanted was leonis I was so excited! It’s closed!!!! The times on google says Saterday 9am-2pm they are closed!!!! Please please fix your hours online! I am soooo disappointed! This is the second time I have drove from Florida only wanting this amazing food and they have been closed both times!

Leoni’s is the best sandwich around. Will keeps the conversation going, with all of his customers, he remembers people and their favorite foods. The prices are great, the food is fresh made in house, and excellent quality. Best roast beef in CT, killer Italian combo, the veal and mushrooms is the best I’ve ever had (sorry Dad), you can’t get a bad lunch from Leoni’s.
