I write this review after having ordered a couple of times, both from their temporary location in Roma’s and their new Irving Park one.
The Detroit and thin crust pizzas are great. We enjoyed the bbq chicken.
We were disappointed with our most recent order of a Sicilian style “hot peppi” and an Italian beef. The Sicilian style is weird. It’s like a thick focaccia crust with 80% crust and the rest in toppings. It’s also not hot like the name promised. We paid extra to have cheese on the Italian beef and it didn’t come with it.
We’ll give it another try or two before deciding whether to keep the place in our regular rotation.

10/10 this was my first time having Leona’s and it was very delicious this is my second time ever having an Italian beef (I’m from/stay in Saint Louis) and I also had the wedge fries which were very delicious. Most definitely will be coming back again

Took a risk and ordered the “new” Detroit style motor city special pizza for delivery. It was unanimously voted terrible amongst our party. Way too doughy and the toppings were sub par. Will not order Detroit style again. Maybe their thin crust is better?

i grabbed a pepperoni slice first then saw the vodka chicken parmesan slice last billy hooked me up with one and that vodka chicken was fire the sauce was creamy with a little kick reminded me of some real good ala vodka pasta the chicken was tender and the cheese hit just right one of the best slices i’ve had in a minute definitely coming back for that vodka chicken again

The Old Irving Park Leona’s location took over the Tahina Kitchen space. Shifting from an incredible Middle Eastern, quality food and service restaurant, to a sub-par pizza place, absolutely Unworthy of the long standing Leona’s name and reputation. Overall experience: Horrible. I just raised my cholesterol numbers for REALLY BAD food.
I was very hopeful for the new Old Irving Park location, as I grew up eating at various Leona’s in Chicago. I placed an order today as a treat for myself and a break from my healthy eating pattern. Before I could do so, a pop up for “Club Rewards” popped up, so I entered my phone number and immediately saw a “Free Cheese Pizza” for signing up. However, when I picked up my order from the rude guy behind the register, I showed him the pop up and explained I tried to enter the code and it wouldn’t work. He quickly said “we aren’t doing that anymore, too many people kept clicking on it…” I told him they needed to take it off their website, as that is false advertising. He did not respond. Not “I’m sorry about that,” or “I’ll let my boss know.” No response, he just stood there staring at me.
I ordered the Italian Beef Egg Rolls and Brick Mozzarella Sticks. The Brick Mozzarella sticks were incredible growing up, the ones I got today, were inedible. The batter used for the outside reminded me of a hard, tasteless, corn flake. I have no idea what they are using now, but the outside of the Mozzarella Brick was bizarre, the texture was really unpleasant, I’m surprised I didn’t chip a tooth. The Italian Beef Egg Rolls (2 in the order what??) Were also unpleasant as one of them was burned. Flavor was lacking.
Other reviewers have also had similar experiences here. My guess is this Leona’s location won’t last long. Its too bad, they used to have good food and service. I won’t be going back.

Mine was delivery. Overall the online experience was good. It was easy to navigate and customize my pizza. My order was delivered warm and on time. My pizza tasted great and I gave it 3 stars because it was well done NOT burned but well done. Leona’s is a good restaurant and I only just came back to them because their new location is nearby. I will go back.

Leona’s Pizzeria – Irving Park was an okay experience overall. The food was decent and filling, but nothing really stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. Service was fine neither especially warm nor unfriendly and the wait time was reasonable. The atmosphere felt casual and a bit dated, suitable for a quick, no-frills meal. It’s a solid option if you’re nearby and craving pizza, but there wasn’t much that made it memorable enough to go out of the way for.

First time ordering. We got a think crust, very good, crispy crust, plenty of sauce and good ingredients. A Sicilian, good crust but not a lot sauce. Lastly the pull apart apple tart was supposed to have a vanilla drizzle and it did not which made it dry. The delivery driver left our food on the porch in 25 degree weather and texted me in French so the food was like warm when I got it. We may give them another try but will probably pick it up. It’s unfortunate pizza places don’t have their own delivery drivers, uber eats drivers don’t care about people’s food.

The food at this Leona’s location is always very good, but today there was a slight mixup with my delivery. Kim went well above and beyond to resolve the issue swiftly and really made me feel like a valued customer. I’ll certainly be ordering from here again.
