Total hidden gem. Leonardo’s is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious Italian food with family. I’ve been coming here for years and can’t believe I never left a review. If you’re near the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, this is a must-visit spot. The staff is always welcoming, and they offer a full bar plus bar seating if you just want to stop in for a quick bite and watch TV.

The bread and pasta are spectacular and truly give you that authentic Italian restaurant experience. The portions are generous and the value is outstanding, even if some dishes can lean a bit salty for our taste. We always leave feeling completely satisfied. The only improvement would be offering free Wi-Fi, since AT&T service in the area is pretty weak.

First time trying Leonardo’s, I had the alaskan halibut and my girlfriend had the Lasagna. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was great! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a delicious Italian restaurant with authentic food and great service!

An overall average experience.

The food was decent. The New York Strip had good flavor and was cooked reasonably well, and the sides (asparagus and minestrone soup) were fine, though nothing stood out as exceptional for the price.

Service was very good. Kristel was attentive, friendly, and professional, which was the highlight of the visit.

The atmosphere was just okay — comfortable enough, but somewhat dated and lacking warmth or energy.

Not a bad place, but also not memorable. Fine for a casual meal if you’re nearby, though there’s room for improvement.

The food was very good with large proportions. The salad was good. Could’ve used a bit more Dressing. The bread was just OK. Nothing spectacular. The decor has been the same for years. The place is pretty clean and the people are very friendly. We will go back.

Good food, great service. I would give them a 5 star except for this $14 Caesar salad which looks depressing and not consistent with their brand or common standards of value.

Talk about a disappointment…for a 70$ dinner for 2 … Ive been wanting to try Leonardos for a minute and the time finally presented itself.. stomach rumbling in excitement.. and man do I love some Italian its honestly my favorite guilty pleasure..to start mozzarella fritti…mmm I can’t wait…well about 9 minutes later come out a cheestick of a lesser quality of the ones we serve at the pizza place I work at. With an almost rancid yet plain side or marinara ive ever had was almost like it came put of a can…and it olny got worse..the fresh bread was bread sticks as pictured that we put the parm on..tried to dip them in olive oil and was met with a chemically unflavored oil of probably the vegetable kind at best…and then my chicken Parm a very lackluster unflavorful pile on my plate……next time go to carabbas or however you spell it the food is way cheaper and tastes way better…

Nothing really stood out to me about this place. For the price, much better Italian elsewhere. We also didn’t get any free breadsticks that we read about (but maybe they don’t do it anymore?) The minestrone soup was the best thing we had, but the pasta was just underwhelming. Wont be coming back

Potato chips encrusted fried walleye was very disappointing. None of the fish flavors came out and it really needs a side vegetable or something to go with it.

Tasted like twice cooked potato chips and nothing else.

The caprese salad was a bit better but the tomatoes could have been fresher and the balsamic glaze should have been vinegar and olive oil

Atmosphere was nice enough. Art deco style tin metal ceilings and old jazz playing.

Server was very accommodating with custom menu options but a bit forgetful.

We had a lovely meal tonight, 10.30.25. There was a loud crowd in there but that’s ok, happy customers getting ready for the wknd. Bailey waited on us and her service was on par, very humble and intuitive.

The food was absolutely delicious! The pasta melts in your mouth. Great soup, salad and bread. The prices were fair based on this being a more upscale experience.

Don’t try to make it better folks, it’s great the way it is!!

Had the calamari, as an appetizer, it was delicious. Large portion.
Had the lasagna for dinner, large portion, melted cheese on top. Sadly, the middle was cold, still ate it because the flavors were good. The sauce is sweet tasting but good. Bread sticks were very good too.
