Lennon’s serves tapas and craft cocktails in an aesthetically pleasing space. The second floor of this three-story restaurant has live entertainment and the top floor is slated to be a steakhouse. Sarah took care of us and was fabulous, friendly and engaging. She was always checking on us.
My husband ordered an old-fashioned and I went with Sarah’s suggestion, the Cloud Cover. Pisco, spiced pineapple, lemon juice and egg white – delightful. We shared four small plates for dinner starting with a beautiful gem salad. Watercress with blue cheese, snap peas, apple slices, cranberries dressed with a sherry vinaigrette. My only complaint was the salad was overdressed. Of course when I see deviled eggs on a menu, it’s a must. The BLT deviled eggs didn’t disappoint with its smokey bacon. The next small plate we shared was the charred Spanish octopus with gigante beans and red chili aïoli. The octopus was tender and charred perfectly. Last up, the beef tenderloin steak bites skewered with mushrooms with a chimichurri sauce and fried leeks. There were only two small steak bites on each of the three skewers, a very small portion. Definitely not worth $24 for the amount of steak that probably amounted to 2-3 ounces. However, the steak was tender and flavorful, but the star of the show actually was the fried leeks. Just give me a plate of those. We ended our dining experience sharing a dessert, the granny smith tarte tatin. A nice ending to our meal.
I hope to go back to experience Lennon’s brunch on a weekend, also an evening listening to live music on the second floor with one of their craft cocktails in hand. I hope this restaurant succeeds because everything from the decor to the friendly staff to the delicious food and creative cocktails was fantastic.

We enjoyed a great brunch here in the comfortable dining room. Service was excellent. He knew the menu well and made great suggestions. Other servers also greeted us and wished us well as we left.

The menu has great selections and our entrees were well prepared and delicious.

Opening night and they did a seamless job! The wait staff was very attentive even though they were extremely busy. The food was shareable size, unique flavors, cooked well, cocktails definitely were an elevated experience and quality. I highly recommend the Midwest gothic. My girlfriend’s and I will definitely be back.

WOW!!! It’s been a while since a restaurant in Naperville has impressed me THIS much. From the crafted cocktails to the desserts and everything in-between, this place kicks ass. Our two favorite dishes were the steak bites and the octopus, but with plenty of other contenders. You can tell this chef really cares about flavor and style. The steak bites alone almost made me cry tears of joy. The one thing I regret is not taking a photo of the chocolate banana bread pudding for dessert. It looked so good I completely forgot to take a photo and inhaled it. Without a doubt returning next weekend to try the rest of the menu.

The atmosphere inside is super cozy. Inside there’s plenty of custom green decor like moss walls and resin art. The owner definitely spent the time and money to make a really unique design for the restaurant.

I’ve ordered from Lenons before during brunch, but this time was a major letdown. My medium-well burger was overcooked and overly charred—dry, harsh, and lacking any juiciness. Key ingredients like the brisket and bacon were barely there: I got one piece of bacon split in half, and the brisket was dry, tough, and stringy—almost like beef jerky. The burger had none of the tenderness or flavor I expected.

For $25, it didn’t taste premium at all. The menu has a lot of appeal, but execution needs to match the hype. The concept is good—it just didn’t come through again.

Date night with my husband. Lennon’s was nice. There was a DJ playing and we sat outside. It was cozy, music was good, not too loud but loud enough that I didn’t hear other conversations. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the shareable small plates. We ordered burrata, lamb meatballs and penne with asparagus. Each dish was well made. I also ordered a cocktail called red velvet. It tasted like a bit like a mulled wine combined with sangria. Very good.

Oh man, this was comically bad. A fever dream. Skip. There’s gotta be some leadership and vision changes in the kitchen and management if they’re gonna make it.

The food: The quality and ratios are outta whack. The focaccia is not focaccia. It was thin crispy crackers, not doughy. The ricotta is light and fluffy, but has no detectable taste of cheese. Or anything really. We got probably 2 cups of the ricotta and 6ish strips of crackers. The ratio was WAY off. I get it, it’s small plates, but c’mon. We had more than half of the ricotta left and not enough crackers. We ordered (and paid for after drawing no attention to it?) for another plate of just the crackers and used veggies from other small plates to dip in it and still left 1/3 of the ricotta.

Same thing with the baba ganoush. They gave us four small triangles of pita, a literal handful of veggies, and a mountain of dip. We left half of it because the ratio was so off.

The fried chicken was a disappointment. The biscuits were gray and hard. The chicken breading was mushy on the inside. The honey dipper is cute, but not functional for getting honey on your actual food.

Couscous was fine, so if you’re obligated to go here, get that.

The ambiance: Y’all, don’t let the DJ from 2/28 come back. It went from a quiet restaurant to a night club. The volume was being constantly adjusted throughout the songs, so you went from speaking at a normal level to trying yell to the person across the table. Like, multiple times in ONE song. They kept dimming and raising the lights, probably 6-8 times during our meal.

Service: Service was slow. For a small plates restaurant, a bunch of plates stack up and make it hard to eat. Getting the check took a long time.

Our waitress was kind, accommodating with allergies, and doin’ the best she could. Y’all probably need more staff for a Friday night.

This whole experience was rage bait.

Went to Lennon’s for a night out with friends and they had been open a week. The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and the service was attentive, especially the bus boys. I ordered a cocktail that was too sweet and then ordered a beer, which was too warm. I think they are still working out their recipes and there was an issue with the chiller. The food is shareable small plates, and we chose burrata, a flatbread, steak bites, and ceviche. Everything was good.
