Excellent experience. We had the whole rotisserie chicken and the Classic (ceviche and jalea). Scrumptious. And the aji sauce was on point as well. Will definitely come back again. Anthony and and Tanya were great and very helpful.

Decided to take a day trip out to Jersey to have Peruvian food. We found this place on TikTok and were convinced by the content and the already amazing reviews. I will say after having this that I have 0 regrets. The food was amazing.
We had a good mix of food. My favorites were the OGs lomo saltado and pollo à la brasa. You can genuinely taste the Smokey flavor in the chicken hence the “al carbon”. The huancaina sauce I feel needed a bit more spice but the flavor was there. The lomo was really good y jugoso. Just overall a great and solid dish. The drinks were strong but still sweet enough to offset and create an amazing taste.
The anticuchos were grilled perfectly to my liking and had a lot of flavor. Reminded me of when I was a kid and my mom did anticuchadas ‼️‼️
The choros à la chalada were good but the corn threw me off. I’m not an expert in these but I know most places don’t usually put corn on it. Also from what my cousin says, most places keep the muscle intact and they place the seafood on top but these, the muscles were not intact.
Another thing I must point out is the green sauce was sooo good. I should’ve gotten some to take home. It went well with everything. If I lived closer, I’d add this place to the rotation but I’ll bookmark this place if I’m ever in the area.

Ive had alot of peruvian food in Maryland, this plaxce has amazing late food and drinks. Open late which is a major plus! Speedy service. This place was amazing all around. I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely amazing from the food down to the service. Bares was absolutely amazing very attentive, she was checking on us enough that it wasn’t overwhelming but we also didn’t have to flag her down . The drinks were on point and being a person who enjoys a good drink after a long day definitely a hit out the ball park. The food is definitely worth the buck because even if a little priced $$ definitely worth because I had to wrap it up.defiantely worth it!

I ordered through the phone as take-out. Easy process and wonderful staff. Only thing that made it bad was the food itself. My order was a whole chicken with fries and morro styled rice. The star of the show “chicken” was very welled seasoned but it was very dry, bland you may say. The fries were soggy witch mostly all fries are no worries on that. But the rice felt old and stale. Felt like my order was a reheated order or the food was just heated up and not made fresh to order. Witch I understand if it was busy. I went 5/9/25 around 5-6 pm and it wasn’t busy at all. At most 3 tables. So yeah you see where the review is going. Definitely expected way more for the price of 35$. Price isn’t that bad but definitely not buying again. Sorry leña

Leña y Carbon is a very good Peruvian restaurant. Family atmosphere, good to bring the whole family for a get together. The place is not huge, but just the perfect size. The service is always good, and the food is one of the best around that area. My family and I have been going there for years, and the quality of the food and service is always good. If you’re into good food and not wasting your money, I recommend this restaurant.

We were in Passaic this weekend, the place is nice and clean however we were dissapointed with the food and the service. We ordered a Fish ceviche they only had curvina fish , the most expensive one for 25. The Waiter was pushing for the most expensive dish without mentioning the price. Telling my husband about the dish with the softer cut of meat without mentioning that it cost twice as much. Tip was included in the bill already. I didn’t like that the food did not come a the same time. My ceviche and my husband’s dish arrived first and my sister’s took longer. The timing was off . I had to share my ceviche. I would not go back to this place for those reasons. Drinks were subpar . we had the pisco sour Chicha morada .

I had a great experience at this spot! The food was super flavorful, and the chicken was super juicy. The restaurant was clean and everything came out hot and quick.
Our server, Brian, was awesome. He was friendly, and checked on us often without being overbearing. Overall great spot will definitely be going back!!

Food was beyond amazing , love tripe with passion , but type of tripe i had yesterday was mindblowing … my dish looked amazing and tasted wayyy better than it looked … i am overwhelmed… gotta go place for sure… very happy
