Good was fantastic, but the vibe and service was hard to swallow. When we walked it in was an absolute ghost town even though it was a Saturday evening. No big deal. I don’t mind some peace and quiet!
But the hostess asked if we had a reservation and it felt odd how she said it. Weird, as empty as this place is, but yes, we do! We had a pretty big group and wanted to make sure there was no issue.
Then when we sat down, there were three servers asking about drinks, waters, giving menus, etc., which felt promising, but then 2 of them just kinda hovered oddly while one of them scrambled to cover all of us. Food came out oddly separated because he was the only one running the food, table lined with empty drinks, it made no sense. Especially because these other two lady’s were right there almost the whole time because the restaurant was still empty. I asked one of the to help him and she began refilling water and taking empty plates.
Just weird. The hardest part to imagine about the experience was all of the food was delicious and unique! The pork skewers were the fav, and the ceviche was unique and tasty as well. Just needs some help with management, and it’d be a great spot.
I’d give it another shot just because the food was great!

We happened to come across this spot while we were out and just needed somewhere to pass the time. We kept it simple and ordered a Sapporo, a lemonade, a side of rice, and a cup of their tri-mushroom consommé. The soup was amazing! It came with one mushroom ravioli, honestly, two would’ve been perfect, but it was still delicious either way.

Fabulous!! From the moment you’re greeted and seated you just know you’re in for a special dining experience. As a designer I can truly appreciate the meticulous attention to details throughout this restaurant. Beautifully designed and executed creating a truly unique vibe. We definitely didn’t feel like we were dining in Houston. Our waiter was so delightful. Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our food was scrumptious!! The perfect way to describe the flavors of all our dishes would be subtle complexity. It was a delicious fusion of complex flavors served in the most subtle way. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning to try other menu items.

This has been one of my go-to spots for a good while now I like their array of dishes and try some new stuff from their menu every now and then although, all their seafood dishes have become a sort of comfort food now.
Very relaxing and cozy ambiance and the staff very friendly and attentive.
Their prices are reasonable. They give sensible portions, and their desserts are amazing!

It’s easy to see why Lemongrass Cafe is so popular. The food is good and while I am not personally a fan of the interior, others would likely find it incredibly lovely. My agedashi tofu provolone wrape tasted good, but ultimately underwhelming for what it was.
I think my only issue and why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the food is good, but very simple, especially compared to the atmosphere the restaurant seems to be presenting. I would probably like this place better if I went for some wine instead of for lunch. My dining companion was tremendously pleased with this restaurant, I’m just being nit picky.
While I do recommend for the filling and tasty food, I can’t help but feel (at least my dish) did not match the ambiance. Reasonable prices and great service, when I am in ther area again I will try to come back.

I really do not understand the hype in other reviews here. The food was … fine. The fusion of western techniques to Asian style food did not elevate the menu and left it feeling rather dated. The dinner portions were also small for the price.

It’s a nice restaurant with amazing decors. The service and atmosphere were good. My waitress was nice and friendly. However, the food was not good. The Ceviche tasted like frozen seafood and didn’t tasty at all. Except Ceviche, the rest were too sweet. Pork skewers, beef satay and duck noodles. All of those were too sweet. I’m not sure to the others but the water there has smell.

Very nice atmosphere and service. Wish the food was just as nice. The Thai cerviche looked like it used frozen rather than fresh seafood. The Tom Yum soup had too much fish sauce and tasted sour. I felt like they used a basic broth and then threw in raw mushrooms and tomatoes just before serving. Everything in the Tom Yum was raw except for the overcooked chew chicken that I couldn’t finish. The Pad Thai was small in quantity and just ok. It also had a lot of fish sauce. The mango sticky rice had too much sugar in the rice and the flavors didn’t not come together. The coconut milk/cream should have been cooked into the sticky rice. The mango did not taste like the Thai mango, but rather a Mexican mango. Plantain chips and sauce were tasty, but that’s it.

Beautiful decor and interior and great service as well. I got the Hokkaido sidecar which was absolutely delicious! The whiskey and peach liqueur mixed well to create a refreshing cocktail. The spring rolls were also great for an appetizer with very flavorful, well-grilled shrimp. I got the lemongrass pizza bc I was intrigued by the tom yum spices and lemongrass, but the pizza was so yummy and the hints of the spices really tied the flavor together. Lastly, got the seafood salad which was refreshing albeit a little spicy. Would love to come back!
