Leméac was the perfect place for a client dinner. The atmosphere was upscale and not loud. The service was perfect. We never felt rushed, and she was very well-versed in the wines and all other aspects of the restaurant. You order everything at once, and they have a perfect pace for bringing out the food. You have plenty of time for each course. The food was excellent! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a fantastic experience while impressing their dinner guest(s)!

From all the restaurants I visited in Montreal this is without a doubt the best.
Food taste is excellent, service is impeccable and atmosphere is great. The quality to price ratio is very high; you would expect unreasonable prices like other restaurants that are not that good. This restaurant deserves not only a Michelin mention, but also a Michelin star!

What a wonderful little gem. We went for brunch on a double date with our friends and everyone was thrilled with their meals.

Two of us had the poached egg on blinis, which tasted like a cloud of bliss — the flavours were beautifully balanced and paired perfectly. My husband chose the potato leek tartelette and it was absolutely fantastic as well. Another at our table enjoyed the omelette with salad, which she says is her go-to here.

The side of mushrooms was an absolute must, rich and savoury, and I could have eaten the entire plate myself. And the beignets for dessert were outstanding — warm, fluffy, and incredibly fresh.

A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Would absolutely return.

The service was very pleasant. The restaurant is on the louder side but it didn’t bother us. We sat on the heated patio side mid October. Was very warm and pleasant.

The food was good overall, while the salmon tartare was a bit too fishy for my taste, everything else was delicious, especially the duck confit. However, the service was disappointing at first as several staff members passed us without acknowledging us and we had to wait a while for the hostess which was odd because it wasn’t busy (just before 6:00pm). Overall, the experience was just ok.

Lemeac is beautiful and vibrant with the food to match. Duck confit was perfectly done with buttery flesh and crispy savory skin. Probably the best duck confit I’ve ever had. Rack of lamb was good as well. Pain perdin was expectedly good.

Onto the downsides.. skip the foie gras. Worst I’ve had. It was prepared with a fruit jam and bread but butter instead of the foie gras would’ve tasted better. You couldn’t taste it in the way that it was done and it was probably better that way. Barely spreadable and cold, iron-ey, and without much flavor.

Also service was a 1/5 for me personally.

Overall for the price they had good entrees , were slightly pretentious with weird service, and served some poor foie gras. Best duck confit I’ve ever had though. Happy I went but would not personally go back because of the service

This was a highly recommend spot in the area and it was definitely worth the try. We started off with sharing appetizers and i tried the minestrone soupe. It was all very fresh, great taste and perfect portions. For the mains we had the duck confit and tartare which were great as well. For dessert, we had to try the pain perdu. Honestly it was to die for. Up there as one of the best desserts i ever had.

We ordered white wine and had to send it back. They don’t seem to sell wine at a cool temperature which we didn’t appreciate as much.

Overall experience was ok, not sure if i would give it a second try.

MUSY TRY PLATES: escargots – super different and good, foie gras – sooooo velvety rich and melts in your mouth, pain perdu – very sugary but honestly amazing
The other plates were also great tasting, but my hangar steak just had too small of a portion of steak and too big of a portion of fries

This restaurant has the ambiance of a Michelin restaurant, with the food to back it up.

We had a retirement party here for a long-time employee and the food was beyond expectation. Each meal was beautifully plated and cooked to perfection.

The best part? The pricing was very reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.

One of my top three restaurants in Montreal, and I happily come back 4 to 5 times a year. It’s just as beautiful in the summer as it is in the winter, which makes every visit feel special.

The service is consistently warm and attentive, and the surrounding neighborhood adds so much charm to the experience. Montreal has no shortage of great spots, but this one truly stands out. Already looking forward to my next visit.

Leméac is a wonderful place to dine elegant, polished, and known for being very strict with their menu and dining standards, which truly shows in the quality of the food. Everything is prepared with intention, consistency, and care, making it a standout spot in Montréal’s restaurant scene.

The appetizers were a great way to begin the meal. The salmon tartare, whether with classic seasoning or truffle oil, was fresh and bright. The grilled calamari was tender and full of flavor, while the crab cake had a perfectly crisp exterior and a rich, satisfying center. The panko-crusted goat cheese was a highlight warm, creamy, and beautifully balanced with the apple and walnut salad. The vegetable and grilled sausage minestrone was hearty and comforting, packing great flavor in every spoonful.

For the main courses, Leméac continues to impress. The duck leg confit was cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone good. The prime grilled rib eye was juicy and cooked exactly as ordered, a great choice for any steak lover. The asparagus and wild mushroom risotto was creamy, earthy, and satisfying, while the braised beef cheeks bourguignon offered deep, rich flavors that showcase true French cooking technique.

Dessert was just as memorable. The Pain Perdu was warm, soft, and indulgent, and the Crème Caramel au Café had the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee notes. The Vanilla Crème Brûlée was silky and perfectly torched, and the Pudding au Caramel was smooth and comforting, a great way to end the night.

The flavors overall were very good and surprisingly casual for such a refined setting, making the restaurant feel approachable while still luxurious. Service was excellent, quick, attentive, and professional, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Leméac is definitely a spot worth visiting if you want a well-executed meal in a classy, welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely return.
