We decided to go the carry-out route and our dinner was excellent! Our order was accurate, on time, portions were more than plenty, and the entire family agrees that our meal was delicious. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken and am going to struggle to order something new next time because it was THAT GOOD! Photo below.
My husband ordered the grilled chicken cobb salad, which was fresh, crisp, and loaded with toppings. Our kids both enjoyed their kids’ meals, with our youngest sharing it was the “best cheeseburger” he’s had.
Thanks for a great experience, Legends Grille! We will be back soon!
My wife had the Legends burger, and I had the BBQ burger. The BBQ sauce on the Legends burger was sweeter, while the BBQ Burger’s was more vinegar flavored. I would compare the burgers to ones from Red Robin, with a thicker patty.
It was fairly quiet for lunch, but I imagine it would get quite loud during a game or dinner. We would consider going back for lunch.
Meal type: …
Our server Candace guided us thru the selections and was charming in addition to professional! There were 2 six plus families celebrating and this is a local family gem.
I’ve had their burger, fish&chips, Tuscan chicken, and various fried things (it’s not uncommon for me to get an appetizer as my meal, especially when someone else decides where to eat and I don’t care for the food there). Aside from frying it properly, the food is average overall except the Tuscan sauce. In fact, our last visit was unfortunate because they messed up my order (I was given Tuscan chicken when I ordered Tuscan shrimp—really wanted the penne) and I didn’t want to send it back since my plate came out last/ much later than everyone else’s when their service was already slow. My FIL was also visiting from out‐of‐state, so I held back and we left peacefully. I was even determined to dislike it, but the Tuscan flavor surprised me. Other than the Tuscan sauce, this place doesn’t have much to compliment it IMO.
This last time, the service was straight‐up bad. The host was unfriendly and the server was condescending. When my appetizer meal was brought out by a third person, it was made clear to that person what was wrong and she took it back. I’m not sure what happened between her and our server, but there was obviously no proper communication done, because the server came up to us and asked why we didn’t accept the order, then continued on to say she thought we had ordered what came out—we did not—all in one breath. When the order was clarified by us, instead of apologizing and moving on, she then decided to tell us what she clearly heard us order (even though the place was loud from the crowd) by saying “You said [this] so I put that in” and ended with “But I guess it was my mistake”—that’s it.
I’m not sure how/why bad servers always think they can’t ever take an order wrong, but the correct way to address this issue is to say “I’m sorry, please clarify what you ordered so I can get that fixed” instead of telling the customer they didn’t actually order what they wanted and imply that they’re wrong, so they don’t warrant a proper apology. Luckily and unluckily, I was in a graciously bad mood so I lost my appetite (although I did make an attempt to eat a few bites of the corrected order once it came out) and got everything boxed, paid for, then left without a scene or more frustrations for all involved. However, we will never be back no matter how much my spouse cries about the prices, because I may be frugal for no good reason, but I’m not going to subject myself to rude service. 1 star for the fried foods, and +1 star for the Tuscan sauce.
