Truly lives up to its name. The hospitality is amazing, making it feel like a home away from home. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and the food is cooked to perfection with care and love. I tried black pudding for the first time, and it was yummy. I really love the concept that everyone has a legend, it makes the place extra special. Such a lovely spot, highly recommended!

As a regular to this café, I have only had good experiences, The food has always been great as has the staff, they are very friendly and attentive. I’m very confused by previous reviews, especially two in the same month giving one star, Almost as if It’s the same person or someone getting someone else to add a negative review. Imagine being offended by being called girl at aged 51, would you prefer to be called old dear? This woman clearly had an attitude already walking in the café And was offended just by this word “girl” Apparently, her burger was not up to standard however she did not bring this to the attention of the staff. The burger was burnt ,yet cold.. Quite an achievement I would say.. There was another comment about the cakes Being Costco bought, I’m not sure where this café states that their cakes are home made and from my experience I’ve enjoyed Costco cakes. With success brings jealousy and I would say these previous one star reviews revealed more about the person leaving them than the café itself. If you had a problem, you would’ve brought it to the attention of Brad or his staff who I’m sure would’ve corrected this, The staff are extremely attentive. I’ve never once gone in there and found them talking among themselves and ignoring customers. This is not the café that I have visited and I’m sure many others in Winslow haven’t… Keep doing what you’re doing, Bradley. You are doing a fabulous job..

I came in expecting a pleasant cafe breakfast with my daughter but turned out to be the little shop of horrors. After I was offended on my arrival in to the shop at the offensive voice of Brad, the owner calling me “girl” (I am a near 50 year old lady), we placed our order and sat down at our table. Having being a converted house made in to a makeshift cafe, you can hear and see every thing that goes on behind the seating area. Brad is outspoken, rude, and ignorant. I felt uncomfortable the second I’d ordered. The conservatory was freezing, my hands were seizing up. The food came out cold, meat was burnt and brads banging burger there was NOTHING banging about it and I dread to think what a normal burger looks like. The chips were oily as hell, Legends alone could solve the energy crisis, side salad was wet & soggy and the sweaty cheddar slices that had been placed on the burger was entirely off putting. It’s safe to say that plate was untouched. The cakes are quite clearly from Costco, which further supports my points of the awful food being served. Not entirely sure who’s bright idea it was to set up a cafe but definitely not a legend.

Fantastic cafe! Fast and friendly service. Great to have a traditional fry up and a coffee. Plus, loads of options for all tastes.

What a fabulous gem in Winslow. Best breakfast in town, great staff, they host teens on certain nights of the week with no need to purchase anything to give them somewhere warm to hang out with their friends (with board games included!).
Just been for breakfast with my partner, and have had a couple milkshakes there before, and it’s always fabulous. They’re really accommodating.
Fantastic vegetarian sausages too!

IMO, horrible and overrated.
Service was indifferent at best.
Staff more interested in talking to their friends / acquaintances than serving other customers.
Cake was far too dry.
Other family members recount similar experiences.
We won’t be back, there are several other good alternatives in Winslow.

Must say that the Bacon and Egg roll was absolutely wonderful and I’ll definitely pop in again when I’m around this area. Highly recommend!

Legends Cafe (formerly James Kitchen) opened on 1st Feb 25 and I decided to pop in and try it out. Had a really nice full breakfast (lots of other nice things on menu) and a coffee. I also enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Was very busy but this may have been because it was the opening day. It looks like new owner is on to a winner here as Winslow needs a proper traditional cafe
