My wife and I ordered food with uber eats. Food was disappointing. Delivery was late. Couldn’t tell whether it was the fault of the restaurant or delivery. Ordered ribs and brisket with sides. The meat was just ok. Really lacked tenderness and bbq smoke flavor. It was edible but not great. There are several great bbq places in the Seacoast area that are much much better. My recommendation for great bbq is go elsewhere, not legends.

Legends Billiards and Tavern is my go to place to go out when I’m home. This place has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and some great drink recommendations. They keep the bar well-stocked with a nice variety of reasonably priced drinks, including some expertly crafted cocktails. The food here is solid comfort bar fare. I especially loved their wings—nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly crispy. Their fried pickles and fries are also standouts. It’s clear they put care into the food, and for the prices, it’s excellent value. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual, perfect for unwinding after a long day or catching a game on one of the many TVs. They also have dart boards which me and my friends spend most of our time at and usually start the night in Portsmouth at Legends for this reason. They have pool tables as well which is a nice thing to play when a table is available.
What I really appreciate about Legends is that it’s a good local spot whether you want to socialize or just have a quiet drink with friends, this is a great choice.

This place is underrated. The brisket was perfectly smoked, the ribs were also near perfection. I have not had BBQ this good since my last trip to Dallas. The price was very good for the quality and quantity of food.
The service was solid and the atmosphere good. It is also a billiard and darts venue so there were a lot of people.
The important thing is that I already want to go back one day later.

The space, vibe and bartenders are great. We almost left right away because theres a very… distinct, strong smell that is not pleasant. But we stayed for one drink which turned into hours because the drink menu had great options and the bartenders made a fantastic martini! Creative too when I just have a flavor i was craving, made up a perfect peach martini.

Great place to hang out. We did our work Christmas party there. The food is delicious, at least 8 pool tables. Clean bathrooms. Lots of space. Free pool during happy hour. We were very pleased and plan on returning.

The food here is absolutely the most underrated in Portsmouth. Jasmine, one of the bartenders recommended the bama ribs and the 3-way sandwich which was unreal. Both bartenders were very attentive and kept the vibe top tier. Kelly was on top of everyone’s order and was very efficient. The manager Kirsten was super friendly and welcoming, and both Martina and Miguel were running around crazy taking care of every single table. Between the service of the bartenders, the great management and the attentiveness of the servers… I’m going 5 stars all around. Would recommend!
