I’ve heard good things about Legends and was excited to try it. It has a great atmosphere that has a nice dinner date option on one side and a higher end sports bar feel on the other side with a good amount of TVs. I had my whole family with me, so we reserved a spot on the nice dinner date side. They have multiple nice fire places and nice decor.
Service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed all of the food and I’m excited to go back again and try more things. The prices are a little on the higher side, but at least the atmosphere and quality match the pricing.

We waited a lil bit after opening to try this and we probably should have waited longer…… alot longer..
We went on a Monday afternoon to try the new place and we were so disappointed.
We were only the 3 table in there. We love to eat out and will drive 2+ hours for good food. So we are happy when a new one hits town.
We ordered a cheese burger/fries and a pizza to try both. Let’s start with the over priced burger that I ask for m-mw and it came out burnt and overdone, but to be honest, that frozen patty was so thin I can see why. Not alot of flavor so alot of ketchup was needed. They need to know that they shouldn’t put the lettuce on top of melted cheese!! Fries were the best part of the whole meal.
The pizza!! I will let the pics talk for that. My husband knows his pizza and when he said it is NOT worth taking leftovers home that would go right into the garbage just to be nice. So he ate was was eatable. The outside crust.
We will not be going back. Horrible food and way overpriced. That meal should of been maybe $30 total not $70!!

The wait for our appetizers was 50 minutes, and unfortunately, things didn’t improve from there. The onion rings were bland, chicken strips were overcooked and dry, and the Brussels sprouts lacked flavor. The only appetizer we somewhat enjoyed was the Sunny app.

The wings were so poorly prepared that our son ended up getting sick after eating them, which was extremely disappointing and concerning.

The drinks were just as underwhelming — both in taste and value. Paying $16 for what tasted like bottom-shelf liquor and a cup of ice water was hard to justify.

By the time our meals arrived (after more than 2 hours of waiting mind you large portion was deep fried), we were beyond frustrated. The burgers were especially bad — the patties tasted like frozen charcoal patties with an hint of lighter fluid and were dry and overcooked, while the buns were stale and hard, like a 3-day-old scone. It honestly felt like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp far too long.

The only dish that was somewhat enjoyable was the fish and chips, but even that wasn’t worth the long wait or the $200+ bill.

We arrived around 5:45 PM and didn’t leave until almost 8 PM. Sadly, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had — we will not be returning.

The service was great, everyone was so friendly. The food was delicious, we ordered the elote flatbread , tiger shrimp rigatoni, and chicken wild rice soup. 10/10 would recommend!

Our experience was mediocre at best, with an overall rating of three and here’s why.
The food actually was tasty hence the 4, the steak bites were tasty but small, which is understandable because of it being the cut of steak. The sampler platter, pizza and salad. Were also delicious but the iced tea seemed nothing more than dark water.

The rating of two for service seemed fitting based on our server forgetting to notify us of the items that were not available when she brought our menus. And once we decided upon selections, there were more items that were not available. It seems like accepted behavior now to go out somewhere and have a server, not be paying attention to detail enough to provide good service. And we still gave a healthy tip.

Lastly, it seemed like the table hadnt been cleaned and seemed sticky, and the floor was even worse when being seated.

We had high hopes, I’m sure as time goes on. It will get better, but we probably will not recommend it. Good luck.

Great Staff, Good Fish, but Very Slow Service and Bland/Overcooked Food. We were excited to try this new spot, especially after reading some positive early reviews. The atmosphere was very nice, and the entire wait staff was friendly and inviting—they were definitely the highlight of our visit.
Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing.
The Service Speed was Extremely Slow:
It took about 45 minutes to receive our appetizers and nearly an hour for the main courses to arrive. This made for a long and frustrating evening.

Mixed, Mostly Bland Food:

We tried several appetizers, including the sampler, seared tuna, Brussels sprouts, and sunfish with onion rings. The sunfish was, by far, the best dish we had all night. However, almost everything else seemed to lack seasoning or flavor. The chicken strips were very dry, the onion rings were bland, and the Brussels sprouts were nothing special. The seared tuna was alright, but the portion size was small for the price.
For the main course, the fried walleye with waffle fries was good, but the burgers were completely gross and overcooked. It was so disappointing that even our kids barely touched their meals.
A Poor Value:
We have no problem paying for a quality meal, but given the long waits, the general lack of flavor in the food, and the poorly cooked burgers, the huge bill felt entirely unjustified.
We appreciate the friendly staff and enjoyed the two fish items, but the slow pace and poor quality of most of the food means we will not be returning or recommending it to friends or family.

Our first experience with Legends in Mankato. Both of our entrees were unique and incredibly delicious!! The Legendary Lucy sandwich and Cranberry Citrus Arugula Salad were both fantastic. Kudos to the Chef!

It was quiet, clean and very enjoyable! Prices are reasonable, and Decor is comfy/modern/cozy. We look forward to returning soon to try their brick oven Pizzas!

From the moment we walked into legend’s- we knew we were in for something special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and just the right amount of buzz from happy diners. Our server Sarah was attentive without being intrusive, offering great recommendations and making sure our glasses were never empty.
Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The fish and chips and legendary Lucy burger was the highlight — perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. You can tell the chef truly cares about both taste and presentation.
We left completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner, a celebration spot, or just amazing food, legend’s should be at the top of your list.

From entering the restaurant, being greeted and seated by Ella, being served by Sarah, talking with Kelvin about the amazing flatbread he baked for us, and joking around with Mariah – everything was fantastic! We ordered Chicken Wild Rice soup, Elote flatbread (FIRE!!!), and Tiger Shrimp Rigatoni (substituted chicken for shrimp). Sarah was an attentive server, making sure we had everything we needed, stopped at our table to check on us frequently. The music was at a pleasant level to hold a conversation. The ambience is warm and inviting – I loved the fireplace. I would highly recommend visiting Legend’s Bar & Grill, we will definitely be going back!! Thank you for the great experience!

-Update Manager never responded-
I reached out a week ago to the email given in the establishments response below..as instructed I sent dates and receipts.

My name is on my account Nadine Rose. This comment back to me is very unprofessional. I ordered several times on door dash. You can look my orders up. I had a very detailed review that got deleted. My order is always wrong. I have gotten gluten noodles when I put gluten free. I have got gluten free noodles with gluten bread on top of it. I have had either some dill sauce instead of ranch for my salad. When I ask for extra salad dressing I never get it. In fact this last time I ordered I did x3 to see if anyone would notice so I could get extra but I didn’t get it. My very first order ever I received a gift card since my order was wrong. My husband went in to pick up the food and use the gift card.. it was busy and my husband asked for extra salad dressing and the manager said no.
