Do NOT sleep on this place. Yes, it’s in an ice rink, and that is not the first place you think delicious food would come out of—but you will find yourself pleasantly wrong within about three bites.

Legend Has It is the rare unicorn where comfort food, actual care, and legit flavor all collide. Start with the clam chowder: rich, creamy, and suspiciously good for a place where Zambonis roam freely. It’s the kind of chowder that makes you wonder if Sam is secretly running a coastal seafood shack on the side.

The Teriyaki Chicken Bowl is a sleeper hit—perfectly cooked chicken, big flavor, and just the right balance of sweet and savory to keep you stealing bites between shifts at the rink. And then there’s the hand-pounded pork tenderloin sandwich, which deserves its own banner in the rafters. Crispy, juicy, unapologetically indulgent, and absolutely not what you expect to find next to a sheet of ice.

But here’s the real differentiator: Sam and the staff. They are next-level kind—especially with kids. Patient, friendly, and genuinely happy to be there, even when a gaggle of hockey-starved children roll in starving and loud. They remember faces, treat families like regulars, and somehow make the whole place feel like a neighborhood spot disguised as a rink concession stand.

Bottom line: come for the hockey, stay for the chowder, return for the pork sandwich, and keep coming back because Sam and his crew make you feel like part of the team. Legend has it… the name checks out.

Sam knows his stuff! The food is amazing and the service is always friendly. Spicy pickles on the burger is awesome. Spam musubi bowl is genius. Chicken salad on apples if I’m feeling healthy 😉
