This was my first time dining at Legends 8 China Restaurant in Calimesa CA. There was many choices to chose from we tried 4 different Lunch Specials, I had my favorite Sweet & Sour Pork, we also ordered Teriyaki Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Vegetable Delight. Everything tasted so delicious!

We were looking for a good Chinese sit down place and came across this mom and pop shop. They are very friendly food is great and comes out in a timely manner! We are so happy to find a good place! We don’t know what to pick so we order different type of dishes to try. They have a good selection and they are open everyday except for Tuesday! I highly recommend this place!

Always come back for more. Food comes quickly and has always been hot. Who wants food on a cold plate that cools your meal before you can finish it? Nice serving size, very tasty.

I went back when they opened at 11 am , they gave us old inedible food that they reheated. Been here a few times and the quality is spot on . Will not be back, cook must of been lazy when they want and forget people pay good money for food to be made fresh . Orange chicken was tough! Egg foo young was burnt, and a massive concealed lump of gravy and pork . When we ordered they told us it will be 10 minutes until we get our food . Or did they mean it will take them 10 minutes to reheat in microwave. Absolutely disgusting food yesterday.

We’ve ordered takeout from Legend 8 many times and have always had great experiences in the past. Unfortunately, today’s order seemed to be an exception. The combination fried rice didn’t taste right, the pork had a rancid flavor that made it inedible. Hopefully, this was just a one off, as this has been one of the few spots in the area where we’ve enjoyed good Chinese food.

When we walked into the restaurant, there was a terrible musky. People with similar colored skin were seated in one area, and darker colored skin in another section of the restaurant. The food was extremely salty, and brown rice was tasteless.

Have eaten there for at least 6 years. Have not had issues. Went recently and the dish I got; birds Nest with Shrimp, pork and chicken was terribly Salty. The Birds nest seemed like an afterthought and the soup was also saltier than normal. I wouldn’t get the Bird’s nest again. Stick to regular items.

I love this restaurant. It is about 20 minutes from where I live and I would drive here even if it was 40 minutes from where I lived. The food is delicious and everything here you tastes so good. 100 Stars

As far as local food options go this isn’t your worst choice. As far as quality the food is subpar and unseasoned, however nothing a beforehand blunt can’t fix if you’re into that. Place is clean and staff are short but not quite rude, just very quick and to the point. Overall I would say it’s not my first or second choice, but I’d visit once in a while.
