Average. The Mac and cheese was good but did not come with the gold fish topping. Coleslaw was vinager based and good. Pulled pork and ribs were meh. Brisket was good. Fried green tomatoes were disappointing. Redneck egg roll was bland pulled pork in a fried wrapper.
The only interesting thing was the kimchi pickles which were quite good.
A plus was the outdoor seating so it’s dog friendly.
Would not come back here again.
For those saying it’s as good as any New York BBQ, NYC does not have great BBQ. I’ve looked. So I guess that’s a fair comparison.

Got the piggy Jr for family picnic and several of the meats were undercooked. Chicken was bloody and sausages were raw inside. Quite unfortunate, we’ll probably never eat here again. Please have better quality control before someone gets food poisoning

The BBQ here is excellent. I enjoyed everything. We had the “pig out Jr.” which included ribs, chicken, brisket, sausage and pulled pork. All was very good. The ribs are saucy, but not too messy. Tender but still have enough chew. The brisket is ‘cut with a fork’ tender. The sausage seems to be house made and tastes a bit like Italian sausage. The chicken is moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. I usually don’t eat chicken skin, but I couldn’t get enough of this one. The pulled pork is moist, but could use a little sause, which is no problem as you are supplied with 3 choices. Carolina mustard sauce, spicy, which to me was a little thin, and sweet, which was my favorite. It also includes 2 sides, we had mac and cheese and coleslaw. The mac and cheese was good, but not great. The coleslaw, was not my cup of tea, but my father thought it was amazing. It’s made without mayo, so if you’re into that sort of thing, than it’s perfect. It’s low key, small and nicely decorated. The kitchen is open, so you can see and smell the food cooking. Our food came out fast and the service was very friendly. We will definitely be back.
P. S. One small complaint: there are no bathrooms.

The meats (brisket, pork and pastrami) are all good, the sides Mac and Cheese, Cornbread, Corn, Brussels sprouts and Hush puppies (overcooked) were OK at best. Stick with the meats and you won’t be disappointed.

Place rocks, don’t listen to the haters. Super low key and tasty bbq with better sides than most bbq places get away with. No beer? No bathroom? All right next door so stop complaining lol. Wifi pw is chillyfish106

I’m new to the area and have been having trouble finding good food. I gave Legal Swine a try and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered brisket, mac and cheese, and slaw. Everything was great! The slaw is super fresh and not slathered with mayo like most other places. The brisket was smokey and tender. The portion was huge. I have plenty left over. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The restaurant is nice and clean. I will definitely return!

I had them cater a birthday party at my house. They came on time with the food truck. The food was amazing and they set it all out nicely for service. They left the leftover trays for ease of continued eating. The ribs were sooo good they were demolished as was the corn on the cob. Great sauces were also left. I couldn’t be happier with the food or the team!!!

The staff was friendly and professional. The FOOD was GREAT. I had the Brisket plate with Cornbread and Mac&Chez. My son had the pulled pork with House cole slaw and Bourbon Corn. Everything was really good. I will be back the next time I’m passing through

Legal swine catered our very small wedding (16 people) and we are SO happy we chose them. The food was amazing, the meats all delicious, the sides were great, I thought the kimchi pickles were a creative addition and the portions were VERY generous. The delivery was punctual and easy, everyone was raving about the food the whole weekend. We are bummed we don’t live closer to this restaurant 🙂

We catered a small dinner (20 people) with food from Legal Swine in early July. I have to say I don’t like the name, but the food and service were top notch! I was coming from out of town and Desmond worked with me to create a menu of meats and sides that were perfect for our event. Everyone raved about the food (my favorite were the ribs) and nothing went to waste. Highly recommend!
