I know Olympia isn’t a huge city and the population is maybe 60Kish, so when we stopped by here at this bakery, we sort of expected it to be a local homey place with decent pastries.

What a cool bakery! It reminds me of old school bakeries back in my hometown. Smells great. Super clean. The coffee is always brewing and the seating is deluxe. Great gathering spot for your morning or break time enjoyment. The pastries were outstanding and served up by friendly staff.

Best in Olympia. Probably the best in Washington. You really can’t lose. Go before 10am on the weekend to get a cinnamon doughnut or doughnut holes – they sell out! . Also famous for their kouign aman which is the perfect blend of croissant dough transformed into a vanilla pudding center with crunchy sugary layers on the outside. If you’re into savory, their quiches won’t disappoint. Their tarts are not only beautiful, but not too sweet, the lemon meringue is a family favorite. A note about the doughnuts: We bring relatives these cinnamon doughnuts as prized gifts of Olympia’s bounty and as an incentive to moving here.

Absolutely a gem! I had no idea about this place until it was recommended by a friend. I’ll definitely be back. The food and baked goods are delicious and quite affordable for the presentation. The quiche is one of the best and most-flavorful I’ve had.

Update: Their new location is gorgeous! And, of course, the pastries and savory treats are still just as incredible. I always get at least one mini quiche to go when I am there. They now also offer coffee and tea.
