Drive thru wait time was crazy but the food is great for “fast food”! The chicken was seasoned well. Not just the breading but the chicken tasted great throughout. Everything was cooked well. I read a review that says this was better than Bojangles and I agree. Just make sure you have some time to spare before you order

I love love love their chicken. It’s cooked just right wether it’s pieces or tenders it’s just right. The ratio of crunchy to the actual chicken meat of the tender is just right. Real chicken not just fried batter. Their sides are just as tasty I usually go for the mashed potatoes and gravy with a biscuit. Plus the free two piece meal on your birthday is a definite win!

Three staff works hard to get your order right kn the first try. This is an oldy goldy place in Ocala. Been going there for decades. The environment is a little ruff around the edges and its a tad small but the food is always good, hot and fresh.

After going to Popeye’s and not being allowed into facility, then going to drive thru and being told they didn’t have chicken breasts – that was the end of Popeyes. So we went to Lee’s. Service was great, food was really good, seating area open and clean. We enjoyed our meal. Only item missing was the discount coupon or Veteran’s discount.

First time here and really enjoyed everything! They have great chicken and sides to go with it. The place itself is a little cramped, but cozy. The food and pricing make up for it though. My boyfriend did think that the portions of sides were a bit underwhelming, but he a big eater. I was totally satisfied with mine and left with a full stomach. We’ll definitely return!

This is my first time having Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken and it didn’t disappoint! The chicken tenders were juicy, and breaded to perfection, the mashed potatoes and gravy – were divine much better than KFC, the cole slaw was tasty, and the biscuit was good. I’ll definitely be back!

I love Lee’s usually, and I’ve visited this store many times. Tonight, not so much. Bought a 2 strip with a side, Cole slaw, which filled up the space in the take out container maybe halfway about a tablespoon amt. The chicken strips were less than 6 inches long. Not alot of food for almost $9.00. Will probably not go back for awhile.

I had to place this order twice because the 8 piece classic meal was missing from the original delivery. Doordash thankfully credited my account and I placed the order a second time. The food was good however today the chicken pieces were small. The chicken breasts were small like the size of an iPhone 6 and not much thicker. Also coleslaw was missing. This is really disappointing because Lee’s has been a standard goto for my family and I have given glowing reviews prior to this one. As a regular customer I feel let down; after today I feel like I need to look for other options for fried chicken in Ocala. I created a review here because Doordash sometimes doesn’t publish honest reviews.
