This place is definitely a hidden gem. Thank you Joseph for serving me, Kris for telling me about the cooks and menu options and Heather for cooking an amazing Gumbo.
From Charley G’s, Prejean’s, The Little Big Cup as well as many others, there’s no Gumbo in Acadiana that is as good as Heather’s
The gumbo bowl is not big enough
Thanks and God bless you guys and gals.

The gumbo was A FREAKING MAZING! Spicy and flavorful, full of meat. YUMMMMMM! Best gumbo I have eaten in a while! Just a hint of okra…perfect!
Best looking gas station conversion I have seen. Very nice!
Suggestion #1 serve rice on the side for those who don’t use that much.
Suggestion #2 cut off the bowtie on the end of the sausage.
Suggestion #3 the restaurant was REALLY clean but the window ledges needed attention…badly.
Suggestion #4 waiters and waitresses are seated and on their phones in front of customers. Not a good look, especially when I pointed out the window ledge to them.

Road trip from Nola to North Texas and stopped here for a bite. Had the Dirty Bird with fries and iced tea. So good!! Will be back if we’re in the area.

Took a chance on a Sunday night down a road less traveled. This place is definitely off the beaten path, but well worth it. It was clean, priced conservatively, the staff was friendly and interactive. We ordered the firecracker shrimp for an appetizer and it was excellent. For the main dish we had the beans and rice and the jambalaya. Awesome flavor, just what we desired of cajun food, bold with a little kick. Highly recommend you stop and try it out.

Great place, with amazingly friendly service. Cheers to Q.
We loved the jambalaya, red beans, and the gumbo.
Beer selection was decent too. Jucifer!
Will recommend. Wish I didn’t live do far away 😉

The mushroom and Mozz appetizer was amazing! The gumbo, dirty bird and shrimp plate were amazing, as well as the kids plates! This was our first time here and we will definitely be back!

Overall experience: 1.5/5
Lee’s Gumbo had no signs of okra in it…
The chicken was stringy and served as a chunk in the middle of the dish.
I ordered a large order of gumbo to go for a friend…and received what would be a “cup” serving or some portion smaller, maybe.
I think the manager/owner needs to stay cognizant of what the kitchen is serving
Maybe the portions are much smaller(?)
The Cosmo tasted very well, but I don’t drink enough to come back here.
I wish the place a lot of success. It just isn’t somewhere my taste buds preferred.

I really hope this restaurant goes far. My family and I will absolutely be return customers. The food here is hands down unbeatable for the local area. The quality of the food was PERFECT as well as the portions. Their food is definitely a “save that for later ” portion. In my opinion it is 100% worth the money. The customer service was great. We were greeted by the drive-thru attendant with a smile and a menu. She was knowledgeable and gave us a great opinion on her personal favorites as we were first timers, but not last timers. If anyone in the Opelousas area or farther is looking for a great locally owned restaurant this is the place to go. And to further the “locally owned” part… the owner is a Veteran! I am happy to be in support of this up and coming restaurant. Shopping local positively impacts our local community and I definitely encourage everyone to try this restaurant out. You will not be disappointed in the flavor!

Blown away! Drove through the town and stopped by for dinner. Best food I had in the south, and honestly some of the most memorable food I’ve ever had. I had to thank the chef!
