Plenty of seating available, very clean establishment, food is fresh all the time. I recommend their mofongo chicharrón, is to die for. I also love their chicharrón, delicious and crunchy!!! You know the feeling of wanting to give a place credit for the good work they do but also want to keep the gem to yourself? That’s how conflicted I am about Lechonera Restaurant. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD. The portions are super generous. The restaurant is clean, spacious and bright. The roast pork was fantastic. Service was fast and since it was my first time there, I probably asked more questions than the regular customer but the lady was patient with me.

Never have I had to deal with such blatant disrespect and horrible service after getting my order wrong and not taking accountability for their error the owners wife hung up on me multiple times trying to get them to fix this simple mistake she then called me names and refused to help me I then went to the restaurant where she refused to exchange my food interrupting people eating telling them I was a rude customer who won’t leave and that she was calling the police I waited for the police who then told me to just bring my money somewhere else which I was already planning on doing before giving these disrespectful people the time of day I just wanted to get my point across as a former business owner and being in customer service this was the most horrible experience I had ever had to go through at any restaurant completely unprofessional and uncalled for and they will be hearing from the better business bureau

I’ve given this place a few tries and they always disappoint. They gave me smelly day old food and charged me 38 dollars for it . Nobody welcomes you when you walk in or acknowledges that you are even there . If you really want great authentic Dominican food save yourself the trouble and Drive those 15min to Lawrence the food will be better and more affordable don’t waste your time and money on this place . This place is way too overpriced for the quality of food they offer .
