Le Zoo is located on the 1st level at Bal Harbour Shoppes with the main restaurant along the curbside and additional seating in the middle courtyard area. I prefer the inside of the main restaurant because of the ambiance created by the French and retro fusion decor. I always make a reservation, but there are usually tables available, plus there is seating at the bar area (but not much). The service here is usually very good, along with the management checking in to make sure everything is satisfactory. All of the food was fresh and prepared exactly as ordered. One of the things that stands out to me is the Cold Seafood Platter – all fresh and delicious! The only thing I don’t like about this restaurant is the bathroom – it really needs some cleaning and upgrading – but not enough to take a star off. Bon Appétit!

Le Zoo never disappoints. Like it’s sister Le Parc on Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, this Stephen Starr French bistro never disappoints. The steak tartare is excellent, and I love that they divide the Niçoise salad if you’re sharing it. The burger and steak frites are perfectly prepared. I always have a Martini or Negroni before wine, any the bar men are always on point. Jonathan was on top of his game as our server. Will continue to come back to this Bal Harbour staple.

Some items on the menu that I enjoyed were the cucumber soup with was delicious and fresh as well as the Hazelnut Escargot which was warm and flavorful . Le Zoo is a gem of a restaurant in the Bal Harbour Shops, offering a taste of timeless French-Mediterranean cuisine in a charming and elegant setting. The service is attentive and friendly, and the food is exquisite. I had the steak frites, which was cooked to perfection and served with crispy fries and a delicious sauce. My partner had the grilled branzino, which was moist and flavorful, accompanied by a refreshing salad. We also enjoyed the bread basket, which had a variety of fresh and warm breads. For dessert, we shared the creme brulee, which was creamy and rich, with a perfect caramelized crust. We loved everything about our experience at Le Zoo, and we can’t wait to go back. This is one of the best restaurants in Miami, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves French food.

My first time having escargot! It was ok, the stock/ broth that the escargot was in was pretty good. The truffle pasta was my favorite part of the meal. That was delicious!

My family and I have been dining at Le Zoo for many years. Generally, it has been consistent with occasional lapses in services. Yesterday we experienced a complete breakdown in service, along with mediocre food at best. To summarize, our raw bar apps took 45 minutes to emerge from the kitchen. The ice was melted around the oysters and shrimp, which made for a soggy and less-than-tasty first course. Not to mention our table was wobbly because the legs were uneven, making it difficult to eat! I could go on, but I think you get the drift. It was a poor experience with absolutely no attempt to make it right. Needless to say, Le Zoo is off our rotation until they acknowledge and fix the underlying issues. I sincerely hope they do because it was once a good restaurant! Maybe Gordon Ramsay is available for tough love.
