Pretty good but not worth the price imo.

Service was all over the place — most servers and busboys were really nice, one particular server was a bit frustrated/rude throughout dinner and ended up putting a false charge on our bill.

Most of the food was good but not memorable. Exceptions: complementary bread was great, endive salad was yummy, and the chocolate soufflé was super duper delicious, would recommend!!!

Ambience in the outdoor garden seating area was really beautiful, lots of lights hanging from long-branched trees.

Also kind of random but the menu is written on a whiteboard easel which is cute aesthetically, but ours was a bit smudged + didn’t have awesome handwriting and it was a weirdly difficult process to understand what was actually being offered

We chose Le Vallauris for dinner before attending the Palm Springs Pops at the Plaza Theater, and it was the perfect pairing. The location is ideal—an easy three-block walk to the theater, which made for a seamless and elegant evening.

From start to finish, our experience at Le Vallauris was top notch. The restaurant itself is stunning. We dined outside beneath beautiful mature trees draped with lights, creating such a romantic and relaxed atmosphere—especially lovely for a Southern California evening.

My husband and I both love French cuisine and were excited to try Le Vallauris, and it did not disappoint. The staff are truly attentive and professional. A junior waiter even noticed our table was slightly wobbly and fixed it immediately, without us having to mention it—those small details really stood out.

I started with a French 75, and my husband had a whiskey sour. Both cocktails arrived promptly and were excellent. We shared the oysters of the night—Prince Edward Island oysters on the half shell—which were fresh and delicious, served with cocktail sauce and ponzu. (Pro tip: you can ask for horseradish, though the oysters were fantastic even without it.)

For our next course, my husband enjoyed the lobster bisque. While there weren’t visible chunks of lobster, the flavor was rich and well-executed. I ordered the beef filet steak tartare, which was beautifully presented with toast points and the cutest little miniature eggs. It was very flavorful, though I personally would have liked just a touch more salt.

For entrées, my husband had the veal medallions with mascarpone ravioli, peas, and spinach. The spinach was a surprise, but the dish was still very tasty. I chose the lobster entrée, served with a sweet corn cake and spinach. While premium-priced, it was excellent and worth it for a special occasion.

We were a bit pressed for time due to our theater tickets, so we skipped dessert—but what we saw at neighboring tables looked amazing. A fun and unique touch was that the menu is presented on an easel right next to your table.

This is definitely a splurge. Our total for two—cocktails, shared appetizer, courses, entrées, and tip—was around $325. Not an everyday dinner, but absolutely a memorable and special experience. We would happily return for another celebratory evening.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The ambiance was romantic and charming, with beautiful outdoor seating that felt like a secret garden. Every bite was perfection — the lobster ravioli was rich and flavorful, and the duck confit was cooked to absolute perfection. The service was warm and attentive, making the evening feel truly special. A must-visit in Palm Springs for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience!

An elegant little French gem with outstanding value. The handwritten daily menu is thoughtful and well-balanced.

The outdoor setting under century-old banyan trees, paired with warm ambient lighting, creates a truly enchanting atmosphere. The chocolate mousse was flawless — light, silky, and perfectly restrained in sweetness. An ideal destination for a refined, romantic evening.

Love this place. Great food and ambiance. Kat did an incredible job. She was very polite and helpful with the menu. Steak Tartar is a must have, loved the Salmon and the 1/2 duck. Beef cheeks is also another good go to. The original chef is back which is nice. He does an incredible job. Creme brulee has the perfect level of crunch on top. My only feedback is that no one was at the front desk when we arrived. I had to walk around the entire restaurant to track down someone to seat us. This was right before 8:30pm which seemed a little early to not have a hostess. Felt unwelcoming. I’ve dined here plenty of times though, and that was the first time experiencing that, every other time there was someone friendly and hospitable at the front.

Overall a decent experience. The highlights were the dishes, particularly the seared duck and the Scottish salmon. The chocolate soufflé was also gorgeous and delicious. We loved the ambience of the restaurant as well, once we weren’t the only ones in the back of the dining room. One of the drawbacks was the initial seating; we were the first and only party in the dining room for a while, and it took over ten minutes for us to receive any menus aside from just the wine list (which made it amusing when asked if we wanted cocktails to start…we didn’t know what cocktails were even available!). The service did pick up though and our servers were pleasant and helpful. This place is also fairly expensive – for four of us, we ordered three starters, four entrees, one dessert, and three cocktails, and ended up spending over $600. If that’s worth it to you, then great. But just be aware of what you might end up paying.

Overall we enjoyed our time here and would probably return. The location is great, and you can easily walk to other popular areas in downtown.

This was our first dinner on our first trip to Palm Springs. We’ve travelled across the globe, and have had the great pleasure of indulging in worldwide top rated restaurants. This place is, without a doubt, one of our new top three restaurants of all time! The atmosphere when walking into the outdoor dining area, covered by a canopy of beautiful trees, tastefully hanging lights, the subtle placement of the tables amongst the trees provide for a picture perfect moment. The ever changing menu was filled with choices for the daring as well as those who prefer a more modest culinary adventure. Was wonderful to see the staff take great pride in this spectacular little gem. The history, the handwritten chalkboard menus brought to your table, the ease of each staff member answering any and all questions about any of their dishes. This place a destination in and of itself!

It was a double birthday for our group. I was one of the two. The atmosphere is unmatched! We were dining outside under stunning trees. I can only think of three other restaurants in town that offer that outside ambience. The others are all 5 stars in my book but this place gets a 5.5 ( if that was a thing)
Staff were all exemplary in every way. The food presentation was world class and exquisite.
It is possibly one of the most expensive restaurants in Palm Springs. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. It was worth every penny. Wonderful birthday and I look forward to my next visit. I have been a full-time Palm Springs resident for over 21 years. I know the restaurants in town and this is an especially unique and memorable place to visit.

Very good food, attentive but not intrusive service in a great garden setting.
We came for a mid week dinner, and walked away pleased. The portions are generous.amd the food is well executed. A small menu with a few specials offers something for everyone. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, crispy scallops, Scandinavian platter, the branzino and finished with a mango-coconut panna cotta – all recommended. If in Palm Springs, get a reservation and enjoy some French fine dining.

We’re always eager to dine at Vallauris when in Palm Springs, as it’s a gem for authentic French cuisine with a menu offering unique French dishes that are hard to come by elsewhere. The ambiance is pleasant, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating – the patio comes highly recommended as a delightful spot to savor gourmet meals. However, I’m giving it 4 stars this time around due to a recent experience that didn’t match the high service standards we’ve come to expect from such a reputable establishment.

During our last visit, service was noticeably lacking. We found ourselves having to request our drinks multiple times before they were finally served. Another example – was the service with the complimentary bread that felt rushed and impersonal, with no explanation of what was being offered. Additionally, while they serve Evian water, the bottles weren’t opened in front of us, leaving me to wonder about its authenticity. Lastly, the attitude of our waiter at payment was disappointing; my card was almost tossed back at me, likely in response to a 15% tip instead of the 18-20% I typically leave.

Despite this experience, the quality of the food and the allure of the venue will bring me back. Yet, I hope for an improvement in service that aligns with the establishment’s high standards and the prices we pay.
