Sometimes the most extraordinary dining experiences appear in the most unexpected places. Le Rêve Restaurant & Raw Bar, tucked away at 1 E Alger Street in Sheridan, Wyoming, is exactly that kind of revelation. I was in town for work and stumbled upon this gem—then promptly returned the very next night. When a restaurant pulls you back within 24 hours, you know something special is happening.
The hospitality here sets Le Rêve apart from any restaurant I’ve visited in recent memory. Dario, the bartender, immediately made me feel like a regular rather than a solo traveler passing through. Chef Z came out personally to introduce himself and chat about the menu, a gesture that speaks volumes about the pride this team takes in their work. This level of personal attention is increasingly rare, even in major metropolitan restaurants. Finding it here felt like discovering a secret.
My meal began with a complimentary amuse, bouche, followed by impeccably fresh oysters on the half shell with classic mignonette and cocktail sauce. The hamachi crudo was a showstopper—silky yellowtail in ponzu, adorned with edible flowers, bright green tobiko, and sesame seeds. The steak tartare demonstrated classical technique with modern flair, hand-cut beef crowned with a glistening egg yolk and surrounded by frisée. For the main course, the cassoulet with crispy pork belly, duck confit, and white beans was hearty, soulful, and executed with the kind of care you’d expect at a Michelin-recognized establishment.
Dario’s cocktails complemented every course beautifully.
At the $100+ price point, this is a splurge, but it’s worth every penny. If you find yourself anywhere near Sheridan, make a reservation. You won’t find this level of dining in most big cities.

Sheridan Wyoming has now been introduced to a dining experience that far exceeds any other in our area. It is apparent to me that all the staff in both front and back ends of restaurant management have been vetted to the level of the unparralleled quality service one receives as soon as you walk through the door. Presentation of cuisine, and the manner in which it is delivered through continuous attention to minor details during and after a dining experience cannot be matched in our area. While it might be higher priced than other establishments here, you leave knowing that this venue was well worth the evening’s visit on so many levels.

Michael and his helper were perfect. Explained everything to us and served it all perfect. A little disappointed in the 2 desserts we had.
The atmosphere, the music, and the temperature of the room were perfect.
Probably the best espresso martini ever. We will be back. All 4 of us felt the prices were completely in line with the quality and presentation of the food. I added a picture of our bill, just to give people an idea….we probably went a little overboard with the drinks…but it was my husband’s 70th birthday ♀️.

The food was fantastic. I had the wagyu fillet mignon and it may be the best cooked and tender steak I have ever had. Our server was top notch. The high top chairs in the bar area near the piano were not comfortable at all. Parking is mostly street parking. We will definitely go back. We will just make sure we are not seated at a high top table.

A very special place for occasions calling for inspired cuisine, professional and friendly service. Creative menu with plenty of choices. Cocktails are fabulous – happy hour too. Excellent wine list with approachable prices, but also some very special and more expensive wines. Food is superb. Expensive, but a few times a year for us is special. Refined, and not snooty.

Have eaten here several times now and went back for birthday dinner. Michael is a great server. I was excited to see a rib eye on the menu with a potato gorgonzola cheese dish and some carrots. I also had the oysters-very good, the cauliflower salad I’ve had before but this time it was under dressed. The steams that came out (4 in total) were definitely not rib eye. They were prime rib whi h was over cooked…also I don’t like prime rib. The potatoes were good, but pretty dry and needed something to brighten them up and some moisture. Desserts (we tried all 4) were good with the creme Brule as the fave. I’ll be back, but not for steak!!

Our private dining/chef’s tasting menu was one of the most magical evenings I’ve ever experienced. From the atmosphere, to the staff and the FOOD. It was an amazing evening with friends and phenomenal service from the entire staff. 10/10 would recommend.

Le Reve has consistently proven to be the finest dining experience available in Sheridan, and beyond. We were met with warm, friendly service and a thorough description of any menu items that sparked our interest. As a surprise, the chef prepared a special birthday desert for a very special lady. I would absolutely recommend Le Reve to anyone wanting a top-tier dining experience.

I love this place because it’s beautiful and atmospheric. We went at Christmas time and it was lovely and a man was playing holiday tunes on the grand piano. My only complaint was their lack of vegetarian options and the lackluster cheese board. I’m not even joking when I say it was like they went to the grocery store and got slices of cheese from the deli. As a vegetarian, I’ve had many other restaurants accommodate me and make incredible cheese boards. This was so low effort. But I enjoyed everything else, including the salad, drinks, and dessert.

I shared a galentines meal at Le Reve and we enjoyed our experinece immensly. One of my friends is vegetarian, and her meal was just fantastic. Don’t sleep on the vegetarian option. The cocktails were the best I’ve ever had.
