Feeling extremely happy but cold after walking along the coastal line of St Andrews (the old golf course, the castle, the harbour, the graveyard and Cathedral), I was not sure what I can stomach for a late lunch when I stumbled across this interesting window advertising hot soup of the day. Came in, warmly welcome by the gentlemen, ordered their lentil soup after I asked whether it is good and he without missing a beat said that everything is good He was not joking – I learnt that google rating was high, soup and toasted mini loaf was indeed warm and hearty – I just too late realized that they have lasagne as their ‘most fave menu’! For next time.

A wonderful little spot, lovely hospitality (he said terima kasih after I paid, which caught me by surprise!), not overpriced offering (from the menu I glanced over).

Do stop by if you are in the area and are up for some homemade goodness.

I really cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant. Aldo, the owner, was so kind to me. He learned and remembered my name after the very first visit. This is the kind of place that feels just like home when you are actually thousands of miles away.
The food is flavorful and well prepared. That was hard to find in Scotland. Most places are very bland. I stayed in Fife for 8 days to play golf and visited this restaurant three times. Order the pesto and get a crepe for the road!

Cheerful little place. Great fun chatting with the owners as you wait for the food, which is a Mediterranean fusion, reasonably priced and very tasty. Anything with their home made chicken is to be recommended. Good crepes for dessert too.

I returned three times as the food was so good! And Id go again but holiday nearly over. I had various dishes, all were freshly cooked, piping hot and delicious. The bit at the back is a bit dark but when I sat outside it was lovely. Excellent service that made me feel like a valued customer. Unassuming and probably overlooked but is the best!

If you are in the mood for pizza, look no further than Le Rendez-Vous. We were down from Aberdeen for the day absorbing the sunshine and had a look online at places to eat for dinner and this one came out with the best reviews.

They are located directly in the centre of St Andrews, its a small takeaway but don’t let this fool you, the two guys that served us are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. The menu has a range of handmade pizzas, panini’s, pastas and crepes at really good prices, they also have seating both inside & out. I had the mexicana and my Dad had the margarita with ham, as soon as we sat down outside a few minutes later this delicious, hot and tasty pizza was in front of us.

This has to be the best takeaway pizza I have ever tasted, the food takes no time at all and its always served with a smile. I have to give it a 10/10 with some freshly served chips on the side to pick at it was great. To finish off we did indulge in a banana & nutella crepe which once again beat any other crepe I have had. Highly recommend trying Le Rendez-Vous you won’t be disappointed.

This is, quite simply, the most wonderful restaurant I have been to. I used to go fairly frequently when I was a student, starting almost ten years ago! From that time, Aldo has always remembered me and my order (lasagne with a can of coke). It is lovely to catch up with him after the meal. The food is great, the menu varied and the service, quite frankly, the best I’ve ever experienced.

We very much enjoyed both a savory crepe (egg, ham, cheese) and a sweet one (butter and sugar) – just what we wanted, and convenient to take away. Will be back to try their 10″ pizzas.

Edit: We came back, and the pizzas were really good. We called to order take out, then picked them up on our walk home. We took them back to our place, which is a fairly long walk, and they were quite tasty, but they would probably be even better when eaten fresh from the oven.

A wonderful restaurant run by equally wonderful people! I ate here regularly as a student, and it’s always my first food stop whenever I return to St. Andrews. The food is fantastic—especially the paninis—and the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. If you’re in St. Andrews, this is a spot you definitely don’t want to miss!

Tasty good value food, quickly cooked. We had two 10″ margarita pizzas for £5.80 each and we watched them being cooked from scratch, rolling out the dough etc. There are tables to eat at inside and outside. Highly recommended.
