A special place indeed – the elegant ambience, the pleasant hospitality, the unique offering (steak and frites – that’s it for the main, but they do it really well, have been doing so for the past decades apparently, to stay close to so many people’s heart), the level of service (they carefully help you to consider the level of doneness which might be different from what we are used to, they then serve half and keep half of the portion to keep them warm for you).

Truly enjoyed everything about the food – the simple but delightful salad, the warm and addictive bread and butter, the steak and the fries with their amazing secret sauce even more elevated with a touch (or quite a lot, for me) of their mustard.

No wonder queue was already long before they opened for dinner when we visited their Geneva location. And we were lucky to get their last table without a reservation when we came to their Zurich one.

Thank you for staying great, really appreciate the experience and hope we can visit again in the years to come!

PS Do left some room for dessert, we suspect all of them are nice, seeing how we love their creme brûlée, lemon tart, profiteroles, berry meringue.

Got here 20 minutes before doors and made it to first service. Ate here since I was a teenager and the quality hasn’t dropped. Immaculate attention including service staff appearance and hospitality. Cut was great n the sauce so iconic. No wonder many tried to copy.

The best place to go in Geneva! we waited in line about 30 minutes at 9:00 p.m. on December 27th. lots of tourists in town but they moved people through quickly.

It’s a fixed price menu of salad and steak fruits. The steak and french fries come in two courses, repeated, so don’t be disappointed by the initially small portion on a small plate! Very Euro.
Restaurant is much bigger inside than it looks from the outside.

The restaurant is overrated. I was very disappointed.
The sauce was unappetizing which made the entrecote not tasty at all.
The main course was displeasing. But the desert was nice.
It’s 2 servings of entrecôte and fries per person.

Classic steak frites. It was nice to try and a nice experience but I wouldn’t go back.
We did not wait in line as it was a Monday night, it’s nothing special so don’t queue up for it.
That said, the service was great and it had a lovely vibe

My first experience with the famous restaurant in Geneva. Food was good the sauce was delicious and the french frites wow!

Entrecôte was nice and ok. What surprise me is you got twice entrecôte and french frites two plates. The creme brule was ok but not the best I has, was not my favorite. Be aware of Expensive than that one in Paris because of Swiss francs.

Staff was mostly friendly but could smile more to make the ambience more warm and welcome for guest. But overall experience was fine for me. NO waiting line at that day.

This place is very special with an “old style” elegance. The unique entrecôte plate offering is the best in the region in my opinion. The service is like a programmed repetitive task and works like a well oiled machine. Drinks and desserts are also up to the high standards of the restaurant. Highly recommended !!!

I visit Relais de l’Entrecôte every year when I’m in Geneva, and it never disappoints. The consistency is what makes this place truly special amazing food, excellent service, and a reliably great overall experience every single time.

The quality of the entrecôte, the perfectly balanced sauce, the crisp fries, and the simple but flawless execution are exactly why this restaurant has become a tradition for me whenever I’m in the city. The team is professional, efficient, and genuinely welcoming, which makes the experience feel effortless and enjoyable.

The famous Le Relais de l’Entrecote
Perfect food, the steak is cooked to perfection! The fries, just perfect!!

On the other hand, our waiter was so rude.
2 of our party weren’t very hungry and they wanted to share an order and she refused. When one said “ok I wont eat” she removed their utensils and said “you won’t need those then”. Other than that the experience and food was great.
