Fantastic French food! We’ve always wanted to try this place based on recommendations from friends. This restaurant did not disappoint as our anniversary, first date for years after having our first kid, and post pandemic. The plating presentation is great, the flavors of each dish worked well together, and the tasting menu was a great experience. The service was attentive and friendly. The place is quaint, romantic and cosy. We can’t wait to visit again!

This place is deserving of any hype. It not only lived up to, but exceeded, my expectations. We sat at the chef’s counter and had our choice of a meat/seafood tasting menu or a vegetarian one, and even as people who eat meat, we both chose vegetarian. It was amazing up and down! Every dish was complex, flavorful, and perfectly executed. The chef was very friendly with us throughout the meal. Also, I had multiple dietary restrictions, but they handled it like pros and were so gracious about it. Amazing experience all around – highly recommend!!!

We’ve done a lot of fine dining places and I’ve found that it’s a gamble whether the quality of the food truly justifies the price. It’s rare to find a bad place but dressing up middling food with exquisite plating, highfalutin ingredients, and beautiful atmosphere is more common than I’d like.

Can’t say enough about Le Pigeon. One of the best meals I’ve had. Very well put together and every dish is better than the last. Reccomend the wine pairing. Phenomenal staff. Already great experience

Birthday dinner . This place was amazing. The tasting menu does fill you up. Every dish was unique and delicious. We sat at the chef counter and it was a great experience getting to watch them prepare the meals. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out for fine dining.

I wish I could rate this higher. I truly do. The food was absolutely worthy of the James Beard awards, however along with the wine pairings it was more hit than miss. I will say I only got the base level of the two tier wine pairing they offered, but some fell flat or were too sharp a contrast to be truly enjoyable.

Such an awesome experience! I love sitting in front of a chef for a tasting menu particularly if they are only too happy to discuss their craft which the kitchen staff were at Le Pigeon. I did the whole tasting menu with extra foie course, and wine pairing. Everything was amazing and the wines paired perfectly. Highlights for me were the foie meatballs, the steak, and the foie profiteroles. The space is intimate, and comfortable. I will definitely come back here in an instant!

We went to Le Pigeon to celebrate a birthday and loved everything about the experience. While we are omnivores, we opted for the vegetarian tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each dish delighted our senses and met our high expectations. We were pleasantly surprised that the staff was happy to substitute the famed foie gras profiterole for the dessert that came with our menu. Prepare to be amazed. Oh, and sit at the bar so you can watch the chefs make their magic.

Incredibly good, certainly one of the best restaurants in Portland. Specifically I have it at #2 just a bit behind Tercet. We got both vegetarian and standard menus, which I highly recommend as you get to try a whole lot more (and in a couple cases I, a meat-eater, thought the vegetarian courses were even better). $190/person with the extra courses (don’t skip these!) and just water.

Our experience here was incredible. My partner said Le Pigeon “took his mouth on a spiritual journey. Like a culinary shroom trip.” Highly recommend adding on the foie gras spaghetti and meatballs – we shared one and that was perfect. Days later I’m still maniacally talking about the foie gras creampuff, which had me freaking out for real. We were blown away by the food, and the service was equally top notch. Special shout out to Autumn, who was so attentive to my needs as an expecting mother, and at the end of our meal, she surprised us with a Le Pigeon onesie for our little one. I can’t wait to come back and check out the next chef’s tasting menu. Thank you, Le Pigeon staff!
