We decided to go with their recommendations for the day’s specials: Mushroom salad with green beans and chorizo, Marinated sirloin steak with smashed potato, and Veal skewers with salad. We also added a starter of Celery rémoulade with crab and green apples.
The ingredients themselves were exceptionally fresh.
The steak was cooked slightly more than my personal liking, making it a bit on the tough side. However, the surface was nicely seared to a crisp, though there was a bit more sinew than I would have liked, which made it a little hard to slice it
Each dish had a perfectly balanced combination of flavors, and the portions were very generous.
A wonderful surprise and a memorable dinner
We had dinner at Le Petit Marché and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
We started with some garlic mushrooms — flavorful and perfectly cooked — followed by a white fish with mashed potatoes and an incredible sauce, elegant and balanced.
We also shared a very special asparagus risotto, full of character and beautifully made. The house wine recommendation paired wonderfully with our meal.
To finish, we had a crème brûlée that was simply divine — crisp on top, creamy underneath.
The ambiance was warm and charming, and the service was top-notch: friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
We spent €100 for two people, and it was absolutely worth it.
Definitely a place to come back to and highly recommended!
We got the onion soup, veal and duck. Was delicious. Atmosphere was very good as well very cozy.
You could see the kitchen from your table and the service was good.
My wife had the grilled octopus with a delicious sauce, carrot, and broccoli — perfectly cooked and beautifully balanced. I went for the millefeuille de thon à la japonaise, which was outstanding. Personally, I would have preferred the tuna a bit more finely cut, but I can absolutely see why many people would enjoy it just the way it was served.
All in all, it was a wonderful evening, with great food and a bustling yet cozy atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed.
