Would recommend this place for breakfast. Stopped in since I was working in the area and wanted breakfast. They have a different approach when you order, it is meant to be family style restaurant, where the plates can be shared but do offer options for parties of 2 or single patrons like myself. Ordered the strawberry Crepes with eggs and potatoes. Definitely hit the spot. Wish i could be in the area to try their soul food but they only offer that from 4 to 8pm. The service provided by staff was great. They were attentive and friendly.

We had drinks with friends and they suggested we try this place. I went by myself Sunday morning and there was a nice crowd there but not too busy. I ordered the omelet and waffles to try to sample a few things. I would definitely recommend this place, the food was fantastic. They are going to open an outside patio area as well which would be nice to sit outside on a nice day.

No music, no welcoming Hi or Bye, no menus, and way too overstuffed. Food was just okay. I ordered a catfish with coleslaw, however, they brought my dish with a potato salad. Out of drumsticks and their menu is very small. If nothing else is open around, I may will go back.

I am pretty hard to impress with food, but this place is absolutely DELICIOUS & exceeded my expectations. I had the potatoes, chicken sausage, croissant French Toast, omelette, & chicken wings all family style shared portions and it was perfect. Seasoned just right and made with care and exceptional chef skills. I plan to come back to try the waffles & sweet potato pancakes. And dinner as well.
Everything is made fresh and from scratch with a nice selection. 10/10 food – say no more.

Tye food here is absolutely delicious!! The chicken and waffles and ribs were amazing and every side we tried was just delicious! They are very generous with the sides and the food portions as well. The service was really wonderful and we got a chance to meet the chef and the owner’s mom who were just the sweetest! I would absolutely recommend you trying this new restaurant because it really had some of the best food we’ve had out here in the desert!

I went at noon on Saturday with a friend and enjoyed a delicious meal. The menu is for brunch—it’s small and served family style. I asked if there was a menu item we shouldn’t miss and was told, “Hands down, the corn pancakes.” She was right! Tender and delicious. My new favorite pancake. The only negative for me: the noise level was a little tough. We will definitely go back. I want to try everything on the menu!

I had the opportunity to go to this restaurant this past week and was very satisfied with the food. I ordered the fish dinner with mac and cheese, turnip and mustard greens, all 3 items was very tasty and well seasoned. My family enjoyed there food as well. And the peach cobbler reminded me so much of how my mother use to cook hers years ago ( the buttery nutmeg and cinnamon flavor) since being in the area a few months and looking for a soul food restaurant, which are none I was very excited to hear of their grand opening I made it my business to go and try them out. Reminds me of home back East in the south

I really wanted to like this place and I did but there are changes I would make. The servers are friendly enough, they just didn’t seem to be very experienced but again very friendly and the orders came out correctly. My partner ordered the pork chops with the Mac & cheese and cream corn(you pick 2 sides with entree)and he enjoyed everything. I had the very misleading black bean sausage with greens, rice & gravy and an extra side of candied yams. The “sausage” was just a black bean and rice mixture that looked shaped by a cookie cutter into a couple of little circles. When the owner came to check on us, as she did every table(a very nice touch)I suggested the “sausage” just be served in a dish as a side because other guests will also likely be disappointed thinking they will get something that they won’t. Everything I had was really good however the yams are very very sweet. I also ordered the peach cobbler which was the pie cobbler and not the cake cobbler consistency(IYKYK)it was also good but I would have appreciated a better presentation and it being warmed throughout. I won’t say the price point is too high (about $22 a person)but at the current level I believe the cornbread should come with an entree. This may be nitpicky but being able to hear the staff talking in the kitchen from the dining area was not the vibe. Overall I will return to this place because the valley definitely needs food diversity and I love supporting small and Black businesses. I am rooting for this one to succeed in order to make the necessary changes.

Don’t know where y’all came from, but don’t ever leave here! The first Soul Food restaurant that I’ve been to in years that left me wanting more. The portions were reasonable, as were the prices. I enjoyed the fried chicken, which was perfectly seasoned. I also had candied yams, macaroni, baked beans, and, of course, the greens. Now, I admit that I prefer a bit more ham hock in my greens, but the flavor was on point. They were not overcooked or dried out. For dessert, I had the peach cobbler, which did not come with ice cream and yet somehow was still everything that I needed. I highly recommend it. The painstaking work to prepare my meal was evident. For that is what I appreciated most. I’m certain that I will return.
