Can’t wait to share the most ridiculous ever dinning experience I ever had. Had meal in this restaurant today. They were overbooked, huge line waited after me. After the meal, I asked for extra piece of bread to the waitress since the plate is small(understandable, I don’t have issue with that), and the waitress agreed and served me the bread into my plate. The boss immediately ran over to my table and talked to the waitress in French, and then claimed to me in English that they are not serving a second the piece of bread given they are overbooked. The waitress literally waited at my table so I said that “you can take the piece of bread back if you want”, and she really did it. I don’t know who are they planning to serve the recycled piece of bread to. Funniest experience ever: taking food away from customer’s plate since they don’t have enough. Food is okay though, hope it is not recycled.

I went there for an early Saturday dinner. It’s an easy to miss place on east bound ECR in MTV. There is some parking in the back, enter from the furniture store lot.

It’s small and cozy inside. Service was attentive and exceptional. I had the Côtelettes D’Agneau au Jus et aux Herbes de Provence, medium rare; with a complimentary glass of wine with a local paper coupon.. The mint jelly was a perfect marriage with the lamb. It was delicious. I also got the onion soup for take out.

This was an excellent French dining experience. It’s pricey but worth it. I’ll be back.

A real bistro, small, homey, … when they have rabbit on the menu, they call their customers who like that special dinner. It’s my go- to restaurant for good food, warm service and whether I come alone or with a group, always welcomed and not disappointed. Love their duck paté, fresh fish (posted on the bulletin), very french salad, coq au vin, etc etc.

Everything about the experience was just okay. Service was slow and they spilled water/wine on our table a couple times while pouring. The food didn’t have much flavor to it and several things weren’t cooked properly (for example, the carrots were undercooked). The duck dish had the most flavor but many of the other dishes were bland.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. It looks low key outside but the foods are authentic and amazing, the atmosphere is relaxed, the owners are extremely nice.
My wife is from France and this is our go to place when she feels homesick, definitely the best French restaurant we’ve had in US

The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was just as great. At the end, the chef – who is also the owner – came out of the kitchen and chatted with us about food and cooking. We’re definitely coming back!

Magnificent! A gem in Mountain View!

Sssshhhhh don’t tell anyone! It will be harder to get reservations!

I love this place because of Michael the owner chef! The food is fantastic but the place isn’t pretentious. This place doesn’t need to pretend it’s great. It is!

Have been there twice so far. Going back tomorrow with our daughter this time to share it with her. We just got back from Paris. And need another French food fix!

This place is an awesome Bistro even by Paris standards (IMHO), but there is room between the tables! ❤️

Super cute French bistro. We come several times a year. Request sweets breads! They only stock if we have enough people ask.

Consistently good. Underrated probably because they are low key and don’t do social media.

Their audience skews older so they recently went low sodium. Good for bringing parents! And you can always add salt.

Authentic French adapted to today’s palate of less heavy sauces. Chef has a deft touch with subtle flavors, clearly attentive to details of spice combinations (but a bit heavy-handed on salt in my beef dish, would take off only 1/2 star if I could). Lovely setting if a bit empty in these pandemic times… but it was a Tue night. The salad was surprisingly well finished despite looking relatively unadorned. Onion soup thick and satisfying. Duck L’Orange had a subtle sauce (not overly sweet) with zest & fresh orange slices, quite a lot of duck meat – a tad overdone. Filet Mignon Madagascar was PERFECT in done-ness (I asked for “the done side of med rare”); the sauce would be better with 20% less salt to make it more palatable & let the peppery taste stand out. I appreciated the added subtle spices added to the side vegetables only. The dessert of Tart Tatin (apple tart) was heavenly – the apple tasted airy & light. Service very attentive; the proprietress took great photos of us.

Very charming French bistro! Service is one of the best in the Mountain View area. I recommend getting their French onion soup, duck liver and pork chop.
