Notre maison est devenu au fil des années une institution. Autodidacte, je me suis concentré dans un premier temps à redonner vie à cette bâtisse vieille de plus de 400 ans. Incredible view and setting. The cocktail/bar area is beautiful set out an decorated. The cocktails were a fair price and lovely. The meal was great. We had the “eyes shut” menu which meant you had no idea what you were getting till it arrived. Each course came with a chosen glass of wine. They were able to accommodate a gluten free diet easily. The service was steady and laid back making for a very relaxed evening. View from the terrace whilst eating was second to none. If in the area and looking for a special place to have good meal this is it.

Lovely setting, breathtaking view. The food was superb, definitely 5 stars, but the service could be better structured. The restaurant would benefit from not letting their guests alone for more than 30 minutes upon arrival before one can order an aperitif… We were not the only guests making this experience.

We were sadly very disappointed to eat here. The view is no doubt superb, but why destroy it with music? If you are gonna play music, than at least pick music that fits the view. But it was the food, that felt really uninspired, and we felt quality didn’t match the price. The service was nice, but seemed a little confused and slow even not having many guests.

A fantastic patio (and view) with an exceptional menu with modern twists on traditional French fare.
We arrived at 7pm and had lovely aperitifs and the children’s meals were promptly delivered.
The starters were all delicious and the mains beautifully presented.
However, as the evening went on, perhaps the biggest problem with Le Patio d’Hauteville began to present itself. With only two people serving the whole restaurant, it quickly became clear that they were overwhelmed with the volume of people (perhaps around 35/40 covers).
In fact, one table of three who sat down left after being unable to order or get the attention of the staff.
The word ‘rude’ is often unfairly used in online reviews, however, in this case, from our perspective, it is the only description.
As our meal progressed, the waiters became increasingly annoyed at our polite request for the bill. They were all, without exception, very rude.
We waited for around 40 mins to receive our bill (with three requests) which was an unfortunate end to what was a beautiful evening.
It’s a shame that the standard of the waiting staff lets the restaurant down. Perhaps additional staff would help ease the pressure and a more convivial and enjoyable atmosphere could be achieved in this fantastic setting.
