We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Stopped in for a late breakfast while waiting to go to an early movie. For a Sunday, and the only thing open in the center, I was pleasantly surprised to walk in and sit down. The place was hopping and even though it appeared they were understaffed, I was greeted immediately and was checked on a few times, and everyone was friendly. I had a breakfast bowl that was filled with greens, grains, Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, avocado, seeds, and topped with a sunny side up egg. It came with two pieces of their freshly baked bread. They offered salsa or dressing, but a squeeze of lemon and some fresh ground pepper was all I needed to appease my taste. I was very pleased!

There is a new chef in town! LPQ MDR has been a go-to for me for awhile, but recently, they have hired a new chef and the food tastes delicious and looks incredible.

I’ve been here 3 times. The first time I was impressed with the food and the service. It was busy and our food came at a good time and it tasted good. Our server was friend but definitely busy. I left and recommended it to all my friends! The next two times, the restaurant was not as busy, we got coffee and croissants. The service wasn’t good and the croissants were stale both times. We asked to get them warmed up, because I didn’t mind but at least if they were warmed up they wouldn’t be as stale and the server seemed really annoyed by this request. I like the atmosphere so I really want to give this place another try, but I don’t know if I will. I’d recommend but also say to be aware that the service is sometimes good sometimes bad.

For me, this location reminds me more of a fast-food chain café. However, their food is still rather good, and for someone who enjoys their coffee on maximum, they truly offer a huge cup.

Great place for breakfast. We were in Santa Monica and looking for a place to have breakfast. We found this nice looking place and wanted to give it a chance. I’m so glad that we did. We had the avocado toast and chocolate croissant each. Avocado toast was very flavorful, and I totally recommend it. And the chocolate croissant was the best I ever had, oh man. We were served by David and he was so kind and took very good care of us. The presentation of the food and coffee is also very aesthetic. There is also plenty of free parking spaces available nearby.

Loved the Ambience! Such a cozy cafe. The Breakfast bowl was just ❤️. I couldn’t put down my spoon until I finished the whole bowl.

My family and I loved this place. Great food, great service, and these little pancakes are so cute. They were perfect for my baby lol. She gives them 10/10. We will definitely be back.

The best brunch! Very happy to have come here. I’m not usually into a sweet breakfast but the mini pancakes with berries and bananas were delicious. I could have these every day forever and I would be okay to do it.

A true neighborhood treasure rather stopping by for coffee and a pastry or sitting down for a mind-blowing, delicious breakfast. The ambiance is that of a corner Parisian cafe with the kindest, attentive staff. The food is off the charts with savory flavors. Hint, ask the server for recommendations. They provide excellent twists to the menu.

Friendly service, but definitely a little slow for a place that is not too busy.
