A family of four came here for a regular dinner after seeing the restaurant’s 4.5-star rating. Based on that, we decided to give it a try—but unfortunately, all of us were deeply disappointed with the taste of the food. We definitely won’t be coming back. Honestly, we don’t understand how this place has a 4.5 rating on Google.
• Scallops: Extremely salty—probably the saltiest scallops I’ve ever had.
• Lamb: Very oily and salty. The quality definitely doesn’t justify the price.
• Fish: Overly salty.
• Duck Leg: Severely overcooked and dry.
• Lobster Soup: Also very salty.
• Salad: Dressing was far too salty.
• French Onion Soup: This was the only dish we actually enjoyed.
Overall, the heavy use of salt across almost every dish ruined the dining experience for us.

I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while, so finally decided to give it a try this year. The orange storefront is really eye-catching, and the stained glass is beautiful too. The service was excellent — really enjoyed it. The food was overall decent, nothing particularly wow-worthy, but definitely nothing bad either. Pretty solid all around.

I have visited this lively little restaurant a numer of time over the past few year and have never been disappointed by the experience. Calm, graceous Old-World charm, quiet and attentive servers, very nicely curated wine list, and a lovely menu and chef’s special that always pleases. Reasonable prices for food and wine and not a TV anywhere in sight.

A celebrated an important day here! The atmosphere is very classic, clean and elegant. The service was very warm, friendly and helpful. We tried the liver and the duck. The duck was our favorite. The liver was also very good (if you like liver- I didn’t realize how rich it would be). The veggies that came on the side were very bland though. I don’t think I will be back but would still recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to try and enjoy French cuisine. We had the escargots as well – they were alright. Honestly, I think anything cooked in butter and garlic would taste good, snails probably wouldn’t be my first choice again though.

Le Montmarte will always be one of my favourite all time restaurants. I have been going there for many years especially to celebrate my aunt and uncles birthdays and anniversaries. Had a really delightful dinner at Montmartre. It was a weeknight so it was relatively quiet, but the service and food were still excellent. The soup of the day was velvety and refined. The mussels came with an atypically thick cream sauce that was delicious. The entrees were fantastic as well. I look forward to coming back!

went here with my family recently and had an amazing time. the cozy yet elegant french atmosphere was unlike anything i’ve experienced at a restaurant, and it made the evening so much more special. The food was absolutely perfect, I got the canard and it was the best duck i think i’ve ever had!
the service was great, our servers were very sweet and even did a little birthday celebration for us.
i would recommend the duck, the salmon, the veal, and the crème brûlée.
I would definitely come back to try the other items on their menu!
