We went for Valentine’s Day and had the fixed menu. Normally when I am forced to eat from a fixed menu there is usually a couple things I am not so crazy about but that was simply not the case here. I enjoyed every part of the 5 course meal. The food was absolutely delicious. I was also concerned that I would leave hungry as we were told they were small portions but I could not even finish the complete meal.
Now for the best part of the restaurant…the service.
From the time we arrived until the time we left we felt pampered. They were very attentive to our needs and timed the courses perfectly and even knew when we needed a pause between the filet and dessert and waited for us to let them know when we wanted to continue.
We will DEFINITELY go back again.
Thanks for making our night special!
Our server was Lili and she suggested the business lunch, which is what I have always gotten 90 to 100 percent of the time in the past, so why change since it has always been a homerun?
The business lunch comes with a starter (soup or salad), the entrée and a dessert. My husband chose the onion soup and I chose the mushroom soup. Both were served hot, and both were delicious. So, we were off to a good start!
Then we both chose the red snapper (or maybe there was not a choice, but we knew in advance what it was). Beautiful presentation, served hot (!) on a bed of risotto and a red sauce. It was outstanding. (We both only ate half so as to save room for dessert, and took our remaining halves home to have for dinner on another night.)
The dessert was just the right amount and it was wonderful. If our travels take us out to west Houston again, guess where we will have lunch? (BTW – the owner of this restaurant is also tied to Artisan’s in midtown/downtown – and this, too, is a fantastic restaurant).
We had a bottle of chardonnay and there wines are reasonably priced.
