Amazing!

We went for Valentine’s Day and had the fixed menu. Normally when I am forced to eat from a fixed menu there is usually a couple things I am not so crazy about but that was simply not the case here. I enjoyed every part of the 5 course meal. The food was absolutely delicious. I was also concerned that I would leave hungry as we were told they were small portions but I could not even finish the complete meal.

Now for the best part of the restaurant…the service.

From the time we arrived until the time we left we felt pampered. They were very attentive to our needs and timed the courses perfectly and even knew when we needed a pause between the filet and dessert and waited for us to let them know when we wanted to continue.

We will DEFINITELY go back again.

Thanks for making our night special!

The only thing that was better than the food was the service! I would expect the food quality to be outstanding at a French restaurant, particularly at this price point. What I didn’t expect was the phenomenal service. The waitstaff managed to walk the razor thin line of being attentive without being intrusive.

We had to go out to west Houston to run an errand and decided to find a place to eat for lunch since we don’t get out this way very often. Well, when I did occasionally have to make a trip out into this area in the past, my “go-to” restaurant was ALWAYS Le MIstral. So, it was an easy, easy choice.

Our server was Lili and she suggested the business lunch, which is what I have always gotten 90 to 100 percent of the time in the past, so why change since it has always been a homerun?

The business lunch comes with a starter (soup or salad), the entrée and a dessert. My husband chose the onion soup and I chose the mushroom soup. Both were served hot, and both were delicious. So, we were off to a good start!

Then we both chose the red snapper (or maybe there was not a choice, but we knew in advance what it was). Beautiful presentation, served hot (!) on a bed of risotto and a red sauce. It was outstanding. (We both only ate half so as to save room for dessert, and took our remaining halves home to have for dinner on another night.)

The dessert was just the right amount and it was wonderful. If our travels take us out to west Houston again, guess where we will have lunch? (BTW – the owner of this restaurant is also tied to Artisan’s in midtown/downtown – and this, too, is a fantastic restaurant).
We had a bottle of chardonnay and there wines are reasonably priced.

I couldn’t have been more wrong about this place. From what other people told me, it was a stuffy and exorbitantly overpriced, obscure menu. During Houston Restaurant Week, myself and a group of co-workers decided to brave it and dine here and it was fantastic! We thought we’ll stay safe with the pre selected HRW menu but we all ended up selecting a la carte or from the executive lunch. Amazing prices for quality of food. Honestly, not over priced. We made (recommended) reservations here and were warmly greeted and promptly shown to our table. Among the sprinkled groups of business men, the decor was subtly luxurious and comfortable. Our waiter was not snobbish or intimidating but funny and nice. Loved every part of this meal. Would come back to lunch Absolutely!

Quaint bar …. as you wait for guest or entertaining client before meal. Dinning is white table cloth. Wine selection is fair. Didn’t find Camus or Jordon but had a nice selection of Napa, Sonoma and then Italian. Salad select was fantastic. Proteins were fabulous and cooked to order. Desserts were satisfying. A hidden gem

Staff are great and food is fantastic. The atmosphere is quite nice, great for a business meal or a nice lunch/dinner with friends. Executive/Business reservations can easily and appropriately accommodate small or big groups (been there for both.) Easy parking and complementary valet parking available.
