In our San Francisco bakery, a croissant takes 3 days from mixer to oven, made with long fermentation, natural levain, local butter, freshly ground flour.

Excellent French bakery on the corner. Perfect for enjoying a meal or coffee outdoors. Everyone is incredibly friendly. The laminated pastries are amazing, and the staff is so kind! The menu is wide with plenty of options—savory, sweet, and salads. I love that they also have healthy choices! We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

This place cares. Their care spills over into excess—the nice kind. Case in point: their grand Croissant. Five stars for being generous in their thick slices of sandwich meat. One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Fries were great and flavorful too and you can tell the oil they were cooked in was clean.

Perfect place for coffee break with delicious pastry, for brunch or healthy protein lunch.
They have champagne and wine as well.
Check Lamont croissants and raisin roll.

Although imperfect, Le Marais is a solid spot to grab a bite for brunch with some friends.

I had mixed feelings about some of the food. The freshly prepared food was quite nice, but the pastries, I’d consider only to be okay.

Your mileage may vary on seating, depending on when you show up. For the group I was with, it was quite a challenge to find enough space for our group to sit and eat. That said, when we decided we did want to stay, the staff handled a couple of us switching our orders to dine-in very gracefully.

If you’re here when it’s a little less busy, you might not have the same issues. All things considered, it’s definitely a solid spot to check out.

Excellent food, pleasant atmosphere. It’s a little cramped, but only slightly.

We got ourselves an almond chocolate croissant to go, and there was no wait. Cute little cafe with a beautiful interior. Would like to come back sometime to try their lunch/brunch menu.

Amazing! Bakery items were super fresh. The place is a French-style breakfast spot. I had heard a lot about it, so I wanted to give it a try. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said the freshness and taste were close to the bakery goods I had in Paris. Definitely give it a try!!!

The Great Croissant Debacle:
My primary reason for visiting Le Marais Bakery was their much-hyped gigantic croissant, supposedly the largest in San Francisco. However, upon ordering, I was informed that it requires a minimum 48-hour advance order! This crucial information was nowhere to be found on their website or in the article that touted its size. This was incredibly disappointing, especially after a considerable drive.

Regular Croissant Quality:
To get a sense of their baking, I ordered a regular croissant. It was dry and lacked any of the buttery, flaky goodness you expect from a decent croissant. A complete letdown.

☕ Service Issues:
The service was far from satisfactory. The staff member I interacted with was not particularly helpful. Additionally, despite bringing our own reusable coffee cups, our coffee took an inexplicably long time to be served, arriving after other customers who had ordered after us. This felt disorganized and inconsiderate.

Misleading Information:
The fact that the 48-hour pre-order requirement for their signature item isn’t clearly stated online is a significant issue and a major inconvenience for customers.

Overall:
My experience at Le Marais Bakery was thoroughly disappointing. From the misleading information about their advertised specialty to the subpar quality of the regular croissant and the poor service, I cannot recommend this bakery. Save your time and look elsewhere for your pastry cravings.

Was a lot more crowded than we thought on a Sunday at 10:30 but we managed to get a seat. Was feeling something savory that day so I got a croissant with ham, cheese, and honey mustard!

The honey mustard added a rly nice touch since the ham and cheese were pretty standard and didn’t get off that much flavor. Sad they didn’t warm up the croissant for me since it wouldve been a lot nicer. Croissant itself wasn’t as flakey as I hoped it was but it was still a good croissant! Would come back to try their actual dishes next time 🙂

So glad to have found this spot! Lovely large windows with the sun coming in. The croissants are supper flaky and delicious. We got brunch for 2 and yes, it’s a lot of food!

There are 2 bike racks to stash your bike at and I had complete peace of mind while dining! I think I’ll be back again
