Their fried goat (which my wife had) was incredible and the fried pork that I had was decadent and delicious! I like especially spicy food and their pikliz (a hot slaw) allowed me to add the heat in lovely and complementary ways! I enjoyed a pineapple soda with mine and it was excellent!
I will definitely be back born because of how good it was but also because there were so many things I didn’t get to try this time!
If you like good food from other cultures and would like to stand against our country’s current treatment of immigrants, then supporting this family owned Haitian restaurant is a delicious way to do both!
We ordered the Griot with pikliz, fried green plantains, and diri kole ak pois (rice and red beans), which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Queue Boeuf (oxtail) was tender and rich, paired with white rice and bean sauce, macaroni au gratin, and pikliz every bite was amazing. We also had the Poulet en Sauce, along with pikliz, pate kode poul (chicken fried pastry), and diri ak djon djon (black mushroom rice), and it was outstanding.
Huge thank you to the staff for this great food, we will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend to anyone looking to try authentic, delicious Haitian cuisine!
I had Tassot de Cabrit (Fried Goat) with sides of Du riz au Djondjon (Mushroom Rice), Banane pesee (batter fried plantains that can be green for savory or ripe for sweet—I chose green), and a dish of pikliz (a very hot slaw that you add to whatever you like to add heat and acidity; its a great way to control your level of heat with my wife using way more than I did, but both of us enjoying it). I added watermelon soda which really is incredibly delicious.
Everything was so good and the portions were very generous for the price!
The staff was so kind! I will definitely be giving them my business in the future!
Parking can be a challenge because of Buffalo Wild Wings, but there’s a connected lot and it’s well worth it for the amazing food here!
It is excellent.
This is not a fake review. This a REAL person who came to your restaurant and spent REAL money just to be met with fabricated Haitian cuisine. Claiming my reviews are “fake” won’t hide the fact that your cooking is inauthentic.
